"Anbu" - Osami II

On top of the Hokage mountain was the base for the Leaf's Anbu Black Ops, I stood in the restroom with my hands deep in the sink, under a running tap. I furrowed my eyebrows as I scrubbed my hands together harder and harder. Blood was always difficult to wash off but it was harder this time. In a fit of rage I yelled out, "Piece of garbage!" as I swung my fist down to break off its corner. I panted whilst looking down at the damaged sink. Had I really tired myself that much from washing my hands?

I looked up at myself in the mirror. My once pure white hair seemed more like a dirty silver. I groaned as the door opened. It seemed I wouldn't even have time to shower. I turned to see my brother. Junpei's a twin but he's a little chubbier and taller than me. He cried with an excited tone, "Brother! I've been looking everywhere for you, we're going on a mission together!"

"You've got to be kidding me," I replied huffily and brushed past him on the way out the doorway. I began walking to the armoury and rolled my eyes upon hearing my brother's distinct footsteps coming down the tiled corridor. Junpei apologised saying, "Sorry for all this, it's the Lord Hokage's direct orders that all available Anbu are put to work at this drastic time."

I stopped in my tracks after listening carefully upon hearing the Hokage's involvement. My exhausted eyes widened slightly and I questioned my brother with concern, "What do you mean by this drastic time? What's going on?"

Junpei blinked at me for a moment before explaining, "A few months ago, a tragedy occured during the Chunin Exams leading to the death of several Uchiha. I don't know the details but it was caused by the Kurayami's leader Kaito-"

I interrupted him immediately after hearing the name of one of the most infamous names in Modern Shinobi times. "Kaito? As in The Wolf of the Third Shinobi World War? The Man who singlehandlely killed a Tailed Beast?"

My brother nodded his head, smiling at the thought of me fanboying over another shinobi before saying, "That's just a rumour, but the fact is that he stole the Sharingan from a Uchiha child and their Clan began acting erratic."

I held in a gasp. In all my time in the Anbu I had never heard something so disgusting. Finally, I spoke up, "What a rotten bastard. I'll be happy to serve Lord Hokage's will in killing him." I walked into the Anbu's armoury then took out my personal sword and mask.

Junpei chuckled softly before commenting that, "You wouldn't be able to even scratch him. He just killed Ikari Uchiha, the leader of the Uchiha Clan and decimated the Leaf Police force. That's why the Lord Hokage wants us to chase down the fleeing Kurayami."

"We'll see." After gearing up for the mission to come, I walked past Junpei and headed outside to see a row of Anbu Black Ops. I would get in line with my brother, seeing the captain, a beautiful black haired woman and Lord Third himself.

Our captain commented, "Late as usual Osami," to which I rolled my eyes to and looked to the Hokage for orders.

The Lord Third's voice was loud and clear as everyone remained completely silent in respect to the aging hokage, "Anbu Captain Yuta Hatake, please state the names of those who will be placed under the command of Konya Uchiha."

I ran through the list of people I knew in my head and got nothing. Who the hell is Konya Uchiha? I looked to Junpei but he was too focused on paying attention so I went back to doing the same. The Anbu Captain would step forward and dictated who would be placed under the command of this mystery woman, "Osami Hexious. Hajime Kiyoko. Tenma Kai."

I smirked as I saw my brother's frown. We had very different views on working together in a team.

"The rest of you will be tracking down Kaito's trail with me." The Captain ordered then each of their bodies flicked into air when they began their mission. This left me and my two new comrades with this random woman and Lord Hokage, who also began to leave. Konya Uchiha would step forward with a stoic expression across her undeniably pretty face. "The four of us will be hunting down a group of Kurayami whose identities will be kept classified for the time being. If everyone is ready, we'll be leaving now."
