"RASENGAN!"
The blue ball of chakra in my hand drilled through the pieces of rubble above me and exploded into thin air. This was a unique jutsu I learned from Isamu Sensei. I jumped out and landed where the hospital once was. My heart beat quickly as I looked around frantically to see that the entire building had collapsed. Blood pooled out from under piles of rubble. That monster had murdered everyone- It came to me that Isamu was now in more danger than before. However before I could go looking for him, I heard an explosion in the distance, followed my more explosions. What the hell was going on?
I turned to see that rogue ninja in brown cloaks were firing jutsu down at the people of the village and their homes. It wasn't just Atlas, the entire Kurayami organisation had come to attack the Hidden Leaf Village.
I remembered Isamu's first lesson. This was the moment I would become a true leaf shinobi. My arms reached behind me as I leaned forward to sprint at full pace up the wall of the village. Upon reaching the top, I flipped to dodge one of their fire attacks before releasing star bullets from my palms. Suddenly I heard loud footsteps from behind. I turned and fell to my knees to narrowly avoid a katana. My hand quickly withdrew a kunai and plunged it into the rogue ninja's chest abdomen. My ears twitched to the sound of the sea. I grabbed the bleeding ninja next to me and used him as shield for the incoming waves, which were released by the Kurayami. When they stopped using their ninjutsu, I threw the body of their comrade towards them as a distraction whilst forming a hand seal. Behind me, a portion of the wall we were standing on was transformed into a titanic drill which went straight for my remaining enemies. It tore up the top of the wall but managed to knock off the rest of the ninja. To be safe, the drill then crumbled into rocks that fell on either side of the wall, crushing them if they tried to climb back up.
I sighed before calming myself down and channeling more chakra, but there wasn't any time to rest. My nose twitched to the smell of carbon and looked towards the village to see many lines of smoke in the air. Over the edge of the wall I saw a house that was about to collapse. I jumped down immediately, using kunai against the wall to slow my descent. Once my feet hit the ground, I ran to the burning house and heard the screams of a family. I dived through the window. Broken glass cut at my skin as I entered the burning building. Inside I saw four people surrounded by flames. I formed a hand seal and released blasts of water to put out the fires surrounding them and blocking the door to allow them to leave. However, one of them told me about their child upstairs. Immediately, I ran through the fires blocking the stairs and began searching the whole floor for a child. I cared little for the fire scorching my legs. Eventually I heard a scream and sprinted to its source, kicking down the door in the way and grabbing the child. I used water jutsu to clear our path and get both of us outside before the house collapsed. After I handed the child to her parents, I saw a woman trapped by some rubble. I quickly ran over, coughing from the smoke as I made my way. I didn't want to see a single person of this village die in front of me. With all of my strength and chakra, I lifted the piece of debris off of her legs, allowing her family to pull her out. Then I saw another person stuck. And another. Then another. I kept saving people until it felt like I had been doing it all my life, even when thunder roared in the sky and even when my body had reached its limit.
Then bolts of lightning rained down. I rolled and jumped to avoid each of them as my head looked up to see Atlas, no, a creature of the darkest imaginations. His Raijin Curse Mark had spread over his body in a purple layer of skin and turned the white in his eyes the darkest shade of black. The strangest thing was the wings he had grown and the lines of electricity springing from his body. It was so much worse than the description that kid gave. Atlas laughed whilst striking the ground with bolts of lightning from his hands. All I could do was run and dodge from his bombardment of extinction.
"SPIRALING BOLT!" Atlas' body began spinning so fast he became a spiraling drill. It crashed down in front of me , blasting me off my feet only to be attacked from behind then every other direction you can come up with. He was digging into the ground and resurfacing repeatedly. It felt hopeless to fight back against someone who was clearly far stronger than me but I knew I had to give it my all. I released the channeled star energy in a multi-directional blast of chakra that knocked Atlas away and halted his attacks. I landed on my feet and quickly turned towards him. My palms flung up and sprayed endless amounts of star bullets. Then he disappeared and suddenly the back of my head pounded with affliction. Atlas punched me with so much strength that my body had been lifted off the ground and cast away. Afterwards his attention turned to the surrounding neighbourhood. His eyes widened with excited sadism upon seeing a fleeing band of school children. He reached out towards them. His palm twitched and sparked with electricity. His dark lips curled into a grin.
I boosted my body off the ground with my own chakra and launched myself towards him. A line of lightning was projected from Atlas' body, striking my knee. I kept moving. More lines came at me, piercing my stomach with agony. I kept moving. When I finally reached Atlas, I thew my body in front of his palm, taking the massive bolt of lightning for the innocent children behind me. I hurled back with the force of the chakra and landed on the ground, feeling a searing across my upper body. I heard a sad groan. At least those children were alive. As for myself, I could keep moving. Shakily, I pushed myself up with my left arm and stood up in front of Atlas who was clearly aghast by my survival. His eyes were wide with disappointment and fury. I smiled as blood ran down my lips and more came with each cough. With my right hand, I reached for a kunai but couldn't. I kept trying to reach for it but it was still too far. I looked to my right and saw nothing. There was just a bloody mess where my shoulder cut off. The beat of my heart broke into a drumming solo as I struggled for breath. My arm was gone.
I heard a deep, loud chuckle that sounded like it came from a demon. However it didn't belong to Atlas. He had quite a serious expression on his face as he suddenly disappeared. I didn't have the strength to turn and see what was laughing, instead being forced to stand helplessly and listen to the crashing sounds behind me that only grew louder. A gust of wind brushed against my back as a shadow cloaked over the entire area. Large claws wrapped around my broken body and lifted me in the air then turned me upside down to face this creature.
A large mass of chakra took on the likeness of a nine tailed fox with horns. The moment I recognised that was the moment my heart sunk to my head. My eyes slowly looked down to see Isamu at the centre of the beast. The parasite had taken control, but I quickly spoke up to try and amend things. "Isamu! Wake up! Don't let this thing beat you!"
I was quickly tossed aside. My body crashed into another pile of rubble, leaving me exactly where I was before, with more scars.
