9:35p.m.: The Beekman

"It was you, Elektra. I kept thinking: 'I hope I make it through this... so I can see Elektra Natchios's face one more time.' The truth is... I love you."

"I warned you; never trust somebody who's only after blood. That's all I have to give."

As Elektra made her way to the Beekman for the Science and Industry Ball, her thoughts wandered back to seven months prior when she had a heart-to-heart conversation with Victor. Now, as she pondered the detective's sudden disappearance, she couldn't shake the feeling of concern and worry. She had rejected him when her life was a constant battle between her seeking justice and revenge, the darkness that consumed her, but she couldn't help but wonder if there was something more to his disappearance.

Did he run away to escape danger?

Was he in trouble?

She longed for a way to know what was happening in his life, to ensure he was safe.

Dressed accordingly in disguise, Elektra entered the Beekman, trying to blend into the elegant crowd of partygoers. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and the soft melody of music in the background. Chandeliers cast a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication and opulence.

The room buzzed with chatter, making it difficult to eavesdrop on conversations. Elektra had to rely on her instincts and keen observation skills to identify potential threats. Every face she saw, she analysed, trying to determine if any other them could be Hammerhead. She was aware that danger could be lurking in any corner, and she remained vigilant, ready to act at a moment's notice. It was a delicate dance, blending into the crowd while maintaining her focus on the mission at hand.

As she continued to observe from her spot at the bar and pretended to sip her drink, Elektra noticed movement in the crowd. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw a familiar face.

Someone who shouldn't be there.

Victor Creed was looking directly at her

Victor Creed was looking directly at her.

Shocked and unsure if it was real or a figment of her imagination, she blinked, and he was gone, disappearing into the sea of people.
