Two weeks later...
The comforting sounds of the city murmured in the background as Elektra entered her loft apartment. The familiar sights and smells offered a sense of solace after the chaotic events of the past weeks. She set down her bag and sighed, taking a moment to absorb the quiet calm that her home provided. The loft, with its soaring ceilings and large windows overlooking the city, felt like a sanctuary, a place where she could finally breathe.
Her stitches had mostly healed, though her body still bore marks of battle. She made her way to the bathroom, feeling an uneasy churning in her stomach. The events of the night with Victor replayed in her mind, the intensity of their encounter and the raw emotions they had shared. Unexpected nausea made her rush to the toilet and vomit, her body rebelling against the memories or perhaps something deeper she wasn't ready to confront.
A sudden knock on the door interrupted her thoughts, startling her from her reverie. Elektra wiped her mouth and took a deep breath, steadying herself before heading to the door. Her heart skipped a beat as she opened it and found Victor standing there, looking somewhat nervous yet determined in a fresh set of clothes.
"Hey," he said, his voice surprisingly soft.
Elektra felt a mixture of surprise and something else—a fluttering in her stomach that she couldn't quite explain.
