The afternoon was cloaked in an eerie silence as the helicopter blades cut through the warm air, descending upon the secluded Culver University campus. General Ross stood firm on the meeting point, placing the decoy of the Twin Sai on the ground as a bargaining chip. The sunlight glinted off the metal, its sinister appearance belying its true nature as a mere bait.

The helicopter touched down softly on the grassy expanse, its roar diminishing to a whine as the door slid open. Hammerhead emerged, his massive frame casting a dark shadow across the lawn. Beside him, Victor held a bruised and shackled Elektra, her eyes narrowed with determination despite her evident exhaustion. Hammerhead's smirk was a mixture of confidence and contempt as he approached General Ross.

"General," Hammerhead, his voice dripping with condescension. "I believe you have something that belongs to me."

The general's eyes flickered to Elektra, noting her condition.

"I want Elektra released first. You get the Sai after she's safely away," he spoke calmly.

"You think you're in a position to make demands?" Hammerhead chuckled, shaking his head. "You're amusing, General. Truly."

Elektra's heart raced as she watched the exchange, the chill of the afternoon air biting through her torn dress. She scanned the area, noting the subtle movement of the soldiers hidden in the shadows, their presence a fragile promise of rescue.

Suddenly, Victor's nostrils flared, his feral instincts detecting the scent of gun oil and the tell-tale click of a safety being released. He growled, his grip tightening on Elektra.

"They're here," he snarled. "All around us."

Hammerhead's eyes darkened, a cruel smile playing on his lips.

"Of course, they are. You didn't think I'd come unprepared, did you?" He challenged, then turned his gaze back to General Ross, his smile widening. "Looks like we're going to have a bit of fun."

With a swift, fluid motion, Victor flung the decoy Sai, the blade whistling through the air and embedding itself in the chest of a soldier concealed in the bushes. The man fell with a muffled cry, his gun clattering to the ground and signalling the start of chaos.

"Let 'em have it, boys!" Hammerhead bellowed, drawing a heavy, customised Tommy gun, and unleashing a barrage of bullets.

His henchmen followed suit, emerging from their hidden positions with heavy artillery and opening fire on the soldiers.

General Ross ducked for cover, shouting into his radio, "All units engage!"

The once-quiet campus exploded into a cacophony of gunfire, shouts, and the piercing wails of alarms. The air was thick with the acrid stench of gunpowder and the flash of muzzle fire. Amid the chaos, Elektra spotted the remaining Twin Sai nearby, gleaming under the sunlight. Her heart pounded in her chest as she realised this was her chance. Ignoring the pain in her limbs, she twisted her body and lunged for the blade, her fingers brushing against its cool surface.

With a grunt of effort, she grasped the decoy and began to saw at her restraints, her movements quick and precise despite the turmoil around her. Her mind was a whirlwind of fear and determination; she had to free herself and join the fight.

As the battle raged on, Victor's attention was momentarily diverted, his instincts pulling him towards the nearest threat. He leapt into the fray, his claws flashing in the sunlight as he tore through the soldiers with savage ferocity. Blood splattered across the grass, mingling with the spend casings and the cries of the wounded. Hammerhead, revelling in the carnage, laughed maniacally as he gunned down anyone who came too close. His Tommy gun roared a symbol of the brutal power he wielded and his confidence that he would emerge victorious.
