Chapter 11: Baby number 2?

The Morning After

Third Person P.O.V.

Natsu and Lucy woke up on the furniture together naked as the day they were born. She stretched but felt sore all over they must've done it all night, nonstop after partying and getting drunk. She checked her phone to see the time. The man beside her wrapped his arm over her waistline. She still doesn't trust him but she loves him like her life depended on his love and emotional security. She couldn't believe what happened and how this came about. Lucy's cheeks were reddish tomatoes. She stared at his face and sighed he looked so peaceful sleeping. She checked and saw Iggy watching his cartoons. His birthday was coming soon she didn't forget. She would setup a day with her boyfriend again to go shopping.

The unemployed male rubs his eyes and revealed his abs first thing and the covers hid his privacy away. "What time is it? Did we have sex?" He asked her confused scratching his neck. He sees she has no panties or a bra on. He's missing his boxers seeing their items scattered everywhere even near the armrests. "W-we did! Don't get any ideas! I'm still not comfortable with us living with each other again like before!" Lucy said making it clear they weren't in good spirits with the relationship yet. "It's 9:30am!"

"Oh... I can go back to my place? If it hurts being with me..." The spiky headed boy implied to his girlfriend and got dressed. He needed to find a job to support her and their child as well. She frowned not wanting him to go panicky. One minute she wants him gone and the next she needs him to stay.

"Y-yeah. You can leave for now. I want to be alone for a little while. It's Sunday so maybe I'll umm catch up on my reading and novel. I'm going to quit modeling and become an actual author." Lucy explains to him and he smiled at her. "An author? That sounds great! I'll be your first reader! Which reminds me I have to go online and search for work! I can't just have you doing everything by yourself! I could sign up to be a professional photographer? Or fitness instructor?" Natsu pulled his shirt over himself fully clothed. "I would say the second option! You've always been good at sports!"

"You're right! Okay! I'll do it! See you later and you too son!" He says waving goodbye to his loved ones while Happy laid next to the baby comfortably. "Can you believe your father's going to be a fitness instructor?" The baby gurgles as if he's laughing. She tickled his tummy. "Such a good wittle baby you are!" She cooed and worked on her book getting the laptop from her desk. She called her manager quitting that position and waited to move on to her next opportunity.

Natsu's P.O.V.

I had no idea things were going to turn out this way. One thing that I couldn't stand was my separation anxiety. I hated being far from my girl. I didn't want to leave her house at all. I wanted to be in her presence and start over piecing our family back in the right direction. I sighed filling out an application, and waiting for a response. I got one email and according to them the interview would be in the morning on Tuesday at latest. 'You mean to tell me I have to get up at 8:00am in the morning?! It's right up the street and they're open from 6:00am - 5:00pm I can work with this!' I called the number and some guy answered saying he'll see me tomorrow. I was nervous about the meeting.

I texted my girlfriend since Lucy and I started talking again and trying to rekindle our feelings. She sent me a hundred messages spamming my phone. I usually keep it on do not disturb so my notifications don't always corporate. I smiled happy we are healing in silence and didn't make our accounts noticeable. She had her own profile picture and so did I but our statuses were more lovey-dovey. I posted a pic of her on my lockscreen and she did the same of us hugging after that hectic night.

"Natsu? What are you doing here? Where's Lu-Chan?" Levy asked walking in the library. I didn't expect to see her here and Gajeel who was sleeping at a nearby computer. "I was filling out applications to be a fitness instructor! I liked being a fireman but it was too stressful. This could be something I could be really good at!" I told her feeling confident.

"Good for you! I'm proud of you and Lu-Chan! I'm sure you'll get the job! How are you two? You both left early from the club last night!~" She teased me and Gajeel stirs but stays knocked out bored. "She's at home with the baby and err... we did do things but we're not living together fully!" I stammered with an awkward cough. People were giving me strange looks but still minding their business.

"Aww! I'm so happy for you both! Well I'll see you later and Gajeel has something to talk about by the way. I don't know when but he's only discussing it with the guys! Hmph!" The short bluenette huffed, returning to her spot and reading.

I wondered what he needed to say but shrugged. Out of the corner of my eye I saw that old lady again. She was using her walker to get by others. She seemed to be with a little girl buying a book. The sight made me want a daughter of my own. I spent the whole day in the quiet building with my thoughts. She recognized me and waved I was so ready to go home and pitch the idea to my lover.

Nobody's P.O.V.

Lucy was cooking in the kitchen and her phone kept ringing. She sweatdropped her boyfriend called her ten times checking up on her. She was starting to think he was going crazy. She found it sweet he cared about her well-being but he was clingy! She sighed putting it on do not disturb listening to Ariana 34+35 live performance her favorite music. She had a weird suspicion Natsu wanted another baby. He had been sending her dirty messages, hinting girly stuff and frequently writing how much he wants a baby girl. Than he's complaining about being separated from her. She quit her modeling and began to pursue her career as an author for children's books. Her manager was upset but he understood.

Her pale cheeks were red but the thought of them having an addition for Iggy wasn't so bad. She made a special meal to prep herself for them to get comfortable. She has to admit he can go for hours without stopping. She loved his wild side but her legs need a break every now and then.

"I'm home!" Natsu said with bags in his hands. "I've got great news! I have a job interview tomorrow morning and I got some things for when we have Layla!" "Layla? My mother?" "No! Our babygirl's name! I wanna name her after her!" He smiled.

"You're really serious about this?" The blonde giggled and served her two boys their food. The time was really late eight o'clock at night. "That's wonderful about the job! She isn't here yet!" She blushed a deeper red at his eagerness.

"Yeah! I'm really serious! Let's make her right now!"

"This is where we eat Natsu! No! Wait till Iggy goes to bed!" She scolded him eating her dinner.

"Okay! Also I'm sorry for putting you in pain before with the Marina cheating situation. It was really wrong of me to keep secrets from you. I'm really sorry Lucy... Please forgive me? I won't hurt you like that again! It was a mistake all of it!" Natsu confessed apologizing and squeezed her in a hug regretfully. She smiles and reciprocated the gesture. She forgives him and they ate after. They both put their son to sleep and that's when they got intimate. Unfortunately the Dragneel was going to be very late tomorrow morning.
