Levy's P.O.V.

I walked into my home and found the place actually clean well sort of. I sat down with a good book to read, after being on the phone with my best friend in the whole world Lucy of course. We talked for hours and planned to meet up about her next novel. Suddenly I see Gajeel getting ready for something. It was late evening so this made me skeptical. I noticed him dressed up and his appearance was sharp. "Gajeel what are you doing?" I asked my boyfriend and he seemed rather nervous. He cleared his throat and looked at me a little embarrassed not fully. "Get dressed Shrimp. We're going out." His gruff voice said and I pouted from the annoying nickname but secretly loved it. I got ready in our room, closing the door and taking a shower.

A few minutes pass and I'm wearing a simple light blue dress that reached my knees, a small jacket and curled my hair nicely. I wasn't that big of a makeup girl and stood in front of him. "You...err...look great!" My future husband I always dreamed he propose to me. I'm a sucker for romance complimented me. I felt a blush appear on my cheeks but we leave together. "Thank you!" I smiled and he opened the car door for me. I stepped in and he drove us to wherever we were headed.

Velvet Vine

"Wow! This place is amazing!" I beamed walking inside after he parked in the parking lot. The tables had a fancy atmosphere with a golden chandelier, and red silk drapes. Gajeel sits at a table nearest to the back and makes himself comfortable. "Levy... I-"

"Welcome to Velvet Vine I'll be your waiter Leo or Loke! What would you two like? We also have a dessert special on our menu item the new double fudge chocolate vanilla volcano and one lovely rose for the lady!" The man Loke who reminded me of a lion, handed me the flower. I laughed and tried to calm Gajeel's glaring. "I'll try that one! First I would like the pasta with butter chicken meal." I tell him my order with a smile. "I'll have the steak and French fries with honey mustard and breadsticks."

"Alright! Your drinks?" Loke asks writing all this down on a notepad and waited patiently. "Brisk ice tea for me." "Coke." We both stated and he left afterwards.

"This is so romantic and quiet! What was it you were going to say?" I look at him and he fumbled in his pockets doing something. I raised an eyebrow, but wait to see what he's going to do. He paused and stopped troubled. He seemed stressed and tense, a bit with swirly eyes. "I...I...got something to tell ya' but damn it! It's difficult! I've never felt this way about a person. Give me a minute." I caressed his hand with a smile. "You big dummy! Relax and try to breathe! It's okay. Take your time. There's no need to rush."

Gajeel's heartbeat was pounding and so was mine. I was concerned but I reassure him the best way I can.  The food was brought to us and Loke went back for the drinks leaving to the back kitchen area. "It's a good spot to pop a quest—I mean eat!" He corrected his wording eating and I giggled grabbing my fork and knife cutting my chicken in pieces. "I have to go to the bathroom excuse me." I say rising up to go use the restroom before I piss on myself.

Third Person P.O.V.

Meanwhile taking his chance of a lifetime the long black haired man slipped the blue diamond ring on a breadstick quickly. Natsu and Lucy were over by another table, with their menus pulled up to their faces, stalking them. Gray and Juvia were on the other side, rooting for the male. The couples didn't want to miss the surprise along with everyone else in the restaurant vicinity pretending to be busy. He adjusts the food back into position seeing her walk out obviously done with her business.

Levy sits in her chair and stuffed her face humming in delight enjoying herself. Gajeel pushes the bread her way, and took one consuming. It was garlic breading with a dash of flavor. She picked up one about to chew but something hard hit her tooth. "Oww! What is this...?" Her eyes widened in shock and he took it out of her fingers, getting down on one knee in front of everybody. Everything went dead silence like a ghost town.

"Levy... I've been wanting to ask you this for a long time now. I just didn't know how to talk to you. I couldn't tell you my plans... I wanted it to be special if that's what you want. I know I'm not the best man for you. You do so much for me and I did horrible things in my life. You accepted me even when I was a rugged, tough asshole back in my day. I constantly bullied you but looked out for you when we were in Highschool taking the same courses. Listen I used to be a real bad guy... but then I met you. You taught me how to see the good in others. How to be a better man. I learned even I have the ability to truly love another person. Because of you I started to think about life differently. Things that never even crossed my mind before. The future... a family. Real happiness. It's kinda funny. A man like me dreaming about life like a regular guy. Live enough for the both of us. I want us to be together forever. I...I love you Levy McGarden! Will you marry me?" Gajeel stared at her with red soft pupils while the bluenette cried with tears streaming down. He reiterated his speech, with confidence. She had no idea about anything.

"Yes! A thousand times yes!" She jumped into his arms and the ring was put on her ring finger. All the people clapped and cheered their friends hollering. "We knew you could do it! Congratulations!!" The group congratulated the engagement, and others. The girls were squealing some jealous wishing they could get proposed to. Lucy felt a tiny bit of it but kept it to herself. She was just happy overall. Juvia clung to her husband's shoulder, which made him smile with his hand on her blue wavy hair.

This was a memorable dinner Levy would never forget. One she'll cherish forever. Once they were at home they planned to start a family and go on vacation. No one heard from the two for the rest of the night. Gajeel had never been more proud of himself and thanked his friends for everything.
