The next day, early in the morning, Kenji is awakened by the sound of someone knocking on his door insistently. With tousled hair... Still half asleep, he dangles his arms and heads for the door.
"uuugh... Who is it? I have still a few hours before getting ready"
Once he opens the door, he finds himself in front of two ANBU ninjas. The red and white masks that covered their faces made them much more intimidating... Why were they here?
"hello? What are the ANBU doing here?"
The two men look at the boy without saying a word, then one of these two comes forward and says cold, even too threatening.
"come with us, orders from the 2nd hokage"
Kenji, not expecting a certain awakening, looks first at one and then at the other. He bursts out laughing and dismissively shakes his hand
"nha man... I have an important exam today! I can't miss that, I'll go to the hokage when I'm do-- Wooh!"
Without even time to finish the sentence, Kenji is lifted by one of the two men... Carried like a sack of potatoes on his shoulder. Without warning, they sneak away and head for Tobirama's office.
" H-hey! Put me down!! I'm not joking I have an exam todayyyyy!!"
Kenji squirms and tries to free himself but the grip of that ANBU is pretty strong and doesn't leave him a moment. The younger one sighs and surrenders once they arrive to the building, hoping that the urgency will be worth. The two men stops in front of the door, Kenji once again wriggles around and frowns, jumping finally down form that guy
"Put me down! I can walk inside on my own. Geez... What manners"
Kenji adjusts his clothes and looks back at the office door. Taking a deep breath he enters and the two ANBUs follow him. Tobirama was looking out the window, as usual his icy gaze was enough to make Kenji feel a sense of fear and negativity.
I wonder why this guy here is always sulking...
"Your... Your Ninjas kidnapped me and brought me here like I was a sack of potatoes. I'm skipping an exam to be here, I hope you give me explanations"
Kenji stands at the center of the room folding his little arms at his chest; the ANBUs instead are near the entrance to guard the room. Tobirama slowly turn around, facing Kenji... with his usual stern tone he speaks
"Less talk. Tell me how you got that power"
Kenji blinks in surprise hearing tobirama's order. A little intimidated by the tone of voice... Look around a bit, then to tobirama.
"What power...?"
- "Don't play innocent with me! I tested myself your power... You don't die Kenji"
Kenji's golden eyes sparkle a little at the last sentence, he takes a step back, starting to feel nervous... The air around became heavier and more tense.
"I... I don't know either what is happening to me. But that's none of your conc-"
-"Yes it is!"
Tobirama circles the desk and walks fast towards Kenji, his eyes never leaving those golden ones of the boy. The younger one takes a few steps back, trying not to get too close to the hokage
"wait... W-what-"
Before he could leave, Tobirama close the distance and takes a dragger from his belt... He points the white blade to Kenji's chest.
