Adele POV :

The months following the media storm

had been filled with a fragile peace. Our

relationship had grown deeper and more

meaningful, but life had a way of

throwing unexpected challenges our

way.

It was a crisp autumn evening when we

decided to take a break from our usual

routine and head out for a quiet dinner.

The restaurant we chose was a quaint

little place with a cozy ambiance,

offering a perfect escape from the chaos

of our lives.

As we entered, the warmth of the

restaurant embraced us, and the

flickering candlelight created a romantic

atmosphere. We were seated at a

secluded table in the corner, away from

the bustle of the dining area.

Dinner started pleasantly, with soft

laughter and shared stories. I couldn't

help but notice how Arianna's eyes

sparkled under the candlelight, making

her even more captivating. We were lost

in our conversation when the door

opened and in walked someone

unexpected-Olivia , a well-known

art curator and socialite.

Olivia spotted us immediately and made

her way over with a bright, curious

smile. Her gaze flickered between us,

and I could see the recognition in her

eyes.

"Hello, Arianna!" Olivia greeted with an

air of familiarity. "It's been ages. And I

didn't expect to see you here, especially

with... Adele?"

Arianna looked up, a mixture of surprise

and discomfort on her face. "Olivia, it's

been a while. How are you?"

"I'm well, thank you," Olivia replied, her

eyes lingering on me. "But I'm curious-

what are you two doing together?"

I could sense the undercurrent of Olivia's

interest, and it wasn't just about catching

up. Her gaze was sharp, and her tone

carried an edge.

"This is Adele," Arianna introduced,

trying to keep the situation light. "Adele,

this is Olivia Hart."

"Nice to meet you, Olivia," I said,

extending my hand with a polite smile.

Olivia shook my hand, but her grip was

firm, her gaze lingering. "So, Adele. What

brings you to a dinner with Arianna? I

thought she was more of a solo artist, so

to speak."

I sensed the underlying question in her

words, her curiosity bordering on

intrusive. "Just enjoying a quiet evening,"

I replied smoothly. "Arianna and I have

been spending some time together."

Olivia's eyes narrowed slightly, her

expression shifting to one of subtle

challenge. "I see. Well, it's quite a

coincidence to find you both here.

Arianna and I were just discussing some

old times."

Arianna shifted uncomfortably. "Olivia,

we were just having a private dinner.

Maybe another time..."

Olivia's smile didn't waver, but there was

an edge to her voice. "Of course. I didn't

mean to intrude. It's just... not every day

you see such interesting company. I'll let

you two enjoy your evening."

As Olivia left, I could feel the tension in

the air. Her interest in Arianna seemed

more than casual, and her questions had

left an unsettling feeling.

I turned to Arianna, taking her hand

gently. "Are you okay?"

Arianna nodded, though I could see the

strain in her eyes. "Yeah, just... Olivia has

a way of making things complicated. I

didn't expect her to show up tonight."

I squeezed her hand reassuringly. "It's

alright. I didn't like the way she was

looking at you. If she ever makes you

uncomfortable, let me know."

Arianna's expression softened, her gaze

meeting mine with gratitude. "Thank

you. I just didn't want to make a scene. I

appreciate your support."

We finished our dinner in a quieter

mood, the earlier discomfort giving way

to a more intimate connection. As we

walked back to the car, the cool evening

air seemed to clear the lingering tension.

Once we were alone in the car, I leaned

in and kissed Arianna deeply, my hands

cupping her face as our lips moved

together. The kiss was filled with the

intensity of our emotions, a mixture of

relief and affection.

When we finally pulled away, Arianna's

eyes were filled with warmth and

gratitude. "Thank you for being here, for

understanding."

I brushed a strand of hair from her face

and smiled. "Always. We'll face whatever

comes our way together."

As we drove home, the night felt like a

fresh start. Despite the challenges, our

love remained resilient. We knew that as

long as we had each other, we could

navigate any storm that life threw our

way.
