Rio felt like he was done. With his life. With everything. He hoped Five coming back would make him happy, but it didn't.

He didn't even know what would make him happy. How could he achieve happiness? Was there some kind of a formula for happiness?

'Man, I am too deep down.'

He was sitting on the floor -several hours-, leaning to the closet full of clothes from his childhood. The clothes he hated so much.

There was a knock on the door, which made Rio flinch a bit. "Yes?" he said, his voice weak from all the crying. Someone opened the door and stepped in. It was Five.

"Hey, I'm going for some coffee, want to come with me?" Five asked, looking at the boy on the floor. "Why?" Rio asked, noticing how harshly it came out. Like he forgot how to talk to people.

"To have some coffee, idiot" Five smiled. Rio was thinking for a moment. He could either come with him, finally talk to someone, have a great time, or just sit in his old room, thinking about his miserable life.

"I'll go with you," Rio said as Five smiled even more. He held out his hand to help the other and Rio grabbed it. The boy helped him up and stopped for a moment.

"What's that?" Five asked, his voice quieter than usual. "What's what?" Rio asked, confused, asking himself what the boy was implying.

"This" Five rolled up Rio's sleeve, uncovering the burns on the blue-eyed boy's arm. Rio panicked for a moment, not knowing what to say. "Did you- did you do it on purpose?" Five asked.

"No, it was just... just an accident" Rio mumbled, looking everywhere but the boy in front of him. "Don't" Five just said, walking out of the room, leaving the other confused.

Rio shakily breathed out, being on the edge of tears. "Are you coming?" the other said from outside of the room.

"Yeah," Rio slapped himself mentally and walked behind his friend. Five was waiting for him in the hallway and as soon as he saw Rio, he turned around and they both walked downstairs.

"Guys, where are you going?" Klaus asked them both. "For some coffee" Five answered, rolling his eyes. "Can I come with?" the drunk -and most possibly high- brother asked with hope in his eyes.

"No, we-" the raven looked at Rio. "It doesn't matter," he said after a while, taking Rio's hand and teleporting away.

They appeared in a car, Five sitting on the passenger seat and Rio on him. The two were just looking at each other, faces too close.

"Oh, sorry. Let me just-" Rio blushed in embarrassment, trying to get up, grasping the seat behind Five's head. "Sorry, I-" Rio was panicking.

"Hey, it's okay," Five said calmly, smiling, grabbing Rio's arm. The brunette finally got the courage to look into the green eyes he missed so much.

The green eyes always made him calmer. Because the eyes told him everything was going to be alright, even if he didn't feel that way.

"Yeah," Rio breathed out, smiling. Five moved Rio to the side, moving himself in the driver's seat. The two glanced at each other, looking away quickly.

Five started the car and drove to the coffee place. It was already dark outside, which made Rio calmer. He loved darkness, it was the only thing he knew.

"Riv, we need to talk about that on your arm," Five said after a while of silence. "What's there to talk about?" Rio asked, clearly upset, that the boy next to him, knew about how he harmed himself.

Five sighed, glancing at the other. "Why do you do it?" he asked softly, not getting any answer. "You shouldn't-" he was interrupted. "Because I want to feel something, okay?!" Rio said loudly, looking outside of the window.

"What do you mean?" Five asked, being confused. "I don't- I stopped feeling things when you and Ben left. The pain is the only thing keeping me alive! I tried to-" Rio's voice broke, making him quiet.

"Tried what?" the raven asked a question again. "It doesn't matter," Rio said quietly, rethinking his choice of previous words. "It does to me," Five said, wanting an answer.

"I didn't want to be here anymore, so I just..." Rio trailed off, almost crying. Five was taken back from the other's words. "You-?" he asked, not wanting to say it out loud.

"Yeah" Rio chuckled, tears falling out of his eyes, making it rain outside. "But... why?" the other asked. "I couldn't- couldn't live without you," said the broken boy, looking at Five.

It was quiet for a few minutes. The brunette regretted what he had said, the other feeling guilty. Very guilty of what he caused.

When they got to their destination, which was Griddy Doughnut shop, both just sat in the car. "I care about you, a lot" Five suddenly said the words. Words, that Rio had never heard from anyone.

"I care about you too" The other smiled a bit, looking at his friend. "I never stopped thinking about you, you know?" Five said, smiling.

"Thinking about how and what you were doing, how your life looked like..." he continued, not believing he actually said these words out loud.

Five wasn't used to expressing or even talking about his feelings, he never did it. Well, not when Rio was away. It seemed like he just always had some kind of weakness for him.

"Same" Rio whispered, making eye contact with the other. "Let's go get something" Five smiled, getting out of the car. Rio followed him into the shop, walking slowly.

No one was in the shop, so they sat behind the bar. Five rang the bell two times, making Rio get out of his thoughts.
