Five and Rio were just waiting, occasionally glancing at each other. Rio was overthinking.

He felt like breaking down a lot but didn't want to, since it would make him too embarrassed.

A bell rang, making Rio turn around and look at the man coming into the store. He sat right next to them.

The waitress magically appeared from the back of the shop, a big smile on her face. "Sorry, the sink was clogged," she said, Rio reading her nametag. 'Agnes'

"What can I get for ya?" she asked the man, taking out her small notebook and a pen. "A chocolate éclair," the man said kindly.

"Can I get the kids a glass of milk or something?" she asked, looking at the two young boys. Of course, she thought Rio was a child. Just like everyone else.

"The kid wants coffee, black" Five said, making Rio facepalm. 'His attitude didn't change. Not even one bit.' Rio thought.

"What a lovely kid" Agnes smiled, looking at the wide grin on the raven's face and glancing at the man next to him. "Orange juice for me, please," Rio said, trying to be polite.

"Okay," Agnes smiled, making Rio lost in his thoughts again. 'How can someone be so happy all the time' he asked himself.

He didn't experience any sign of happiness since Ben left, never really getting how happy people were. The world was such a bad place, so why were they happy?

Maybe he just didn't find his happiness, which was what he tried to tell himself a few years back. But then he lost hope. Hope, that anything will be okay ever again.

Rio was woken up from his thoughts by Agnes giving him the glass of juice. He thanked her, looking at Five. He was putting some kind of tissue into his pocket and the man was leaving.

Agnes was nowhere to be found, leaving the two boys alone again. Five sipped his coffee slowly and Rio drank the whole glass quickly since he needed something to calm down his nerves.

"Didn't think you'd find me so quickly" Five smiled suddenly, making Rio confused. "Prepare to fight" the raven whispered.

"What? I haven't used my powers for years!" Rio whisper-yelled, not getting any reaction from the other. He zoned out again, thinking about the last time he used his powers.

Before he could do or say anything, Five teleported away, taking a butter knife and stabbing one of the guys.

Rio sighed deeply, closing his eyes. He started to levitate, earning weird looks from the men. He closed his eyes, making it rain outside, turning the raindrops into ice arrows.

It flew through the glass windows, hurting the confused men. Five smiled, glad Rio was helping him.

Both continued to fight the men, Rio with water, turning it into weapons and Five with his teleportation skills.

When Five snapped the neck of the last one alive, Rio looked at him, frowning. "You wanna tell me who were those guys?" he asked, looking at the other.

"They're from my job" Five just shrugged, cutting his forearm. "Woah, woah! What are you doing?" Rio said loudly.

"Calm down, they put a tracker in my body. That's how they found me" the raven said, making Rio calmer a bit.

Soon, Five took out the tracker and both walked away from the shop. They hopped into the car -that Five had stolen before- and drove away.

Rio didn't know where they were going, but didn't really care. He'd like to go anywhere, just to not be at the place they killed those guys.

"I'm glad we made it out alive. They could've sent someone better, these guys were too weak" Five said, driving somewhere.

"What is this all even about?" Rio asked wanting to know more. "Long story short, I worked for the commission, watching if everything in the timeline is as it should be" he explained, breathing in.

"I had to kill people, that was my job. And eventually, I decided to come back to you guys, to-" Five stopped, before looking at the other.

"To warn you about the apocalypse" he breathed out. "The WHAT?" Rio said loudly, not able to process things.

"Rio, I saw you all. I saw you dead in the future. The world will end and I don't know how to stop it" the raven just said, clearly worried.

The blue-eyed boy was shocked, debating on whether he should trust that idiot. "Why didn't you say something earlier?" he asked, mad at his friend. "They're all too... too young to understand. Wanted to figure it all by myself" Five explained.

"Then why are you telling me?" Rio asked, clearly confused. "You are different than the others. You don't go chasing something that's out of your reach. You just... you're more understanding" Five avoided the eye contact.

"No, I'm not" Rio mumbled under his breath, closing his eyes. "So, will you help me?" the other asked, finally looking into the blue eyes that he feared to look into.

Rio just stared at him in disbelief, Five breaking the eye contact to look at the road. "Are you kidding me?" he chuckled.

"No" Five blinked. "You want me to help you? I don't give a fuck about the future and want to die, and you want me to help you save the world? Five, I'm useless" the water boy said, still in denial.

"You're not, stop. I need you" Five glanced at the other. "Please" he was basically begging him. He'd never think he'd beg anyone, but here he was.

Begging the person he cared about the most to help him with a problem. The problem not just the two of them were facing.
