Devil by the window

"She's just left her apartment."

I made my way towards that side of town, following her tracker.

I then pulled over as I spotted her on the street.

"I've found her, it looks as if she is headed to a local café.."

"Which one? I'll go there now." Hyunjin responded.

"I'll send you the pinned location."

She is just happily walking with a book in her hand.

She then enters the café and I watch her from outside take a seat at the window.

She pulls her feet up on the bench seat and leans against the window pane, opening her book.

She gets served, then just gets comfy, looking as though she is just reading.

"Keep eyes on her, Lix. I'm almost there."

She's just sat at the table.

Oh wait.

An old man has sat at the other table behind her.

She hasn't moved though. Not even a slight flinch.

There's no obvious signs of communicating, so I think it's a false alarm.

Hyunjin arrived and came over to where I was observing them. 

He tried connecting her necklace to the radio pack to see if he can pick up any speaking, but its just got the background noise.

She must just be reading.

I feel like we've done all we can to prove otherwise.

"Everything okay?" He speaks.

It's good to hear a familiar voice.

I grabbed a tiny bit of foil from a sweet wrapper and wrapped it around the pendant of my necklace.

"I'm hanging in there. They have me bugged. Trackers, microphones.. I'm fairly certain they even hacked into my laptop and phone."

There was dead silence from him.
