Tan's Secret

Tan's Pov

I'm Tan, a second - year Mechanical engineering student. Why did I choose to study Mechanical engineering?  The answer is simple, My father owns a garage and run it properly I should know about cars right?. Although it's not my choice, I always want to study architecture, I like to build house. "Home" this is just a word for most of  people, but for me it is most important thing. I am an orphan, My mom died when I was an year or so, and my father died when I was 3. I don't have anyone except for my Grand Ma, She is sweet, loving but no one can fulfill love of parents. It was my grand ma who wants me continue study Mechanics so here I am.

There are some more people whom I considered as my family. "Chain", 2nd year dentist student. He is my best friend since 5th grade, he treats me like his brother and I am second son for his family. Although he is intelligent but he is a big idiot in love. yes, He has big crush on one of my another friend since years.

"Pun", 2nd year political science student. He is bit of naive, but the most lovely and innocent person in our group. We all adore him and loved him, but obviously less than chain. Yes, Chain has crush on Pun but he never dare to said this directly to Pun, and Pun he never able to understand it. Pun can understand other's feelings easily but he never understand Chain's. Sometime I thought he knew about chain's feeling and he too have feelings for him and he just play dumb due to chain's flirty nature, and fear of loosing their friendship.

Enough of this couple, There are more "Q" sorry "Maestro Q", He is best artist in this university. He has two love of his life, Painting and Sleeping. He can sleep anytime, anywhere. but that doesn't mean he is lazy, He is as hard working as other, He sing at bar, manage to top at class and sometime help his family as well.

Then come our last but not least friend "Peem", He also study fine art with Q, He is not polished like Q but loves to make painting and give his 100% on that. I know one day he will be as polished as Q in his skill.

These Four idiots may seem different and ignorant person but honestly they are most loving person. None of us say or shows how much we love each other and how any of us effects other's life. but deep down all of us knew it and that's matter right?

Although We all studied in different branches but still we are close and we know each friend of other like there is Toey and Matt, they are Q and Peem's junior. We all also adore them equally. There are some friends in my faculty as well, like beer, Phum and mick honestly the reason I never mentioned about them to gang or they knew each other because I don't want them to know about each other. My gang is most sweet and lovely person, they can make anyone feel home, but I always feared that inviting new people in group can cause distance in our friendship or I will feel left out. 

Yes, I as insecure of loosing my friends, I may look like a chaotic and the most happiest person and that's why its easy for me to talk to anyone but I don't trust people easily, It took lot of time for me to trust people. I feared to be left out, so once someone became my friend and I start trusting them, I make sure to cherish them and for that sometime I do things which is not comfortable for me but if it please people I do it sometime. 

With Gang I don't fear to loose them, they love me and they will not leave me no matter what. They are my "Home". They know about my past and some of my insecurities as well. So whenever I start doubting myself or our friendship, They comfort me and sometime scold me as well. 

So Even if they are tired they always give in when I asked them to join me for drinks or dinner. and even sometime we just clash on Peem's place.

There is one more person who need to mention in my story, if I am talking about my people, It's my crush "Fang", He is 2nd year architecture student. I know him since high school, Our first encounter is not happening but it's memorable for me. We  didn't see each other for years, but I believe some day we will meet and Why I am sure about if? because he is Phum's brother, So even we didn't met all these year I somehow manage to know about him.

Today, I decided to have fun with my gang, so I asked one of my friend and borrow his bike, and went toward arts building.

"Hello peun" I said seeing Q and Peem stopping my bike in front of them . They are helping their faculty member with their work.

"You almost hit us, can't you see?" Q scold me.

"Eh? Can I do that now? Let me start it over again. Wait." I said jokingly and pull by bike backward.

"Come on, Why are you here?" Peem asked me, irritated.

"Huh?" I asked confused as I was unable listen him.

"What are you doing here? Whose motorcycle are you riding?" Peem asked in speed.

"Give me a second, I gotta look good. Someone like me borrowed it from a friend, of course. Come on. Q, are you singing at the bar tonight?" I replied them before asking Q.

"Yes Why?" Q asked

"Nice. Let's drink. I have something to talk to you about." I told them.

"What is it?" Q asked me

"Let's talk later. So, you two already agreed to join me. Okay? Deal?" I asked them. They looked at each other, conveying they both don't want to join.

"Why are you shaking you head? I ask you to come, so you must do so. you can't say no. you two are joining me. I'll ask chain and Pun to join us, too. See you this evening, guys. I'll get going bye." I ordered them. anyway they don't have any say to deny. 

I left them and went to my own faculty, there I saw Phum.

"Ai Phum, What do you think? Cool motorcycle, isn't it? Where are you rushing to?" I said stopping my bike in front of me.

"I'm picking Fang up." Phum replied.

"Oh? where is Fang? Do you want me to pick him up?" I asked him, nervousness and excitement filled in my stomach.

"Nope" Phum denied without even thinking.

"What? Why? What a protective brother vibe." I replied disappointed. I want to see fang, Its been year since I saw him. but I brush off that feeling fast.

"What are you doing this evening? Do you want to join me at Aueai's bar?" I invited Phum. I know he would deny knowing the fact he don't like going out with strangers often.

"Which bar?" He asked me.

"Come on, That's the bar owned by our fine arts senior. You're out of the loop." I replied. 

"I don't feel like going out tonight." He replied.

I told him I want to introduce him to my other friends still he denied to come. I somehow manage the courage to introduce them to other. Anyway may be other day.

So How's this???

After thinking a lot, I thought it will be better if I start from how our story start so next few chapter may be sound like series but from Tan's perspective which help us to know more about him.
