km gonna complain and say that yes it is agitating when people call y/n annoying in this fic because the girl had to witness the death of her ex and has to see her face everywhere now while suffering from
anxiety and depression and was implied to have attempted 😭

very long and very unproofread

DAY THREE — HOUR ELEVEN

"Here." Ei's hands gently work a blanket around you, as she shifts herself to be sat down beside you on the couch. She's taking her time, slow with you— though you know damn well she's practically begging to know about what Sara had spoken.

You don't say anything in response but your hands grab at the blanket, wrapping it a little tighter around yourself for comfort.

"...Y/n," Ei whispers, reaching to hover her hand over yours. "I...I know what you're going through right now— and..."

"I slept with her."

The older woman stops, and tilts her head. "Sorry?"

"That's what you were wondering about, right?" Your voice is low and soft, and your eyes are pointed anywhere but her. "Why she was saying what she said toward the end of the call? It's because that night...I had slept with her."

Ei's at a loss for words but she manages to scrap some up. "A-After...the crash, right?"

"No. Before."

Ei's hand struggles a bit, moving away from your own. Softly, you continue. "I was drunk. It was a mistake it never should have happened. I called Makoto afterward because I was scared and stressed and I wanted to explain myself to her."

The older woman squints slightly, as if searching for a lie but finding none. "...Why?"

"I don't know." Your hand waves. "Look, it was the worst mistake of my life and after...after the crash we decided to pretend it didn't happen but I just-"

Your face falls into your hands and your squeeze slightly, Ei's own hand moving to rest on your shoulder as you whimper out. "I didn't know she'd— I- If I had known Makoto would be so quick to try and come I- I wouldn't have called her and she still would've been here—"

Another soft cry leaves your lips and whatever anger Ei had been feeling- knowing you had cheated on her sister, just about dissipated. But it wasn't gone completely. "Why were you drinking? That night."

You sniffle and pull your face from your hands, feeling Ei slowly shift to rub at your back. "U-Um," You reach and wipe at your eyes. "It was a few friends' ideas. We had a small get together at Sara's and I drank too much...the others left but I stayed there night and- that's when it happened."

"...Did you feel anything?"

"Just regret."

Ei sighs and nods. "There's...there's no certifiable way to justify cheating, and it's especially hard for me since Makoto was my sister but-" She sighs and looks off, gazing at the window. "...I mean, we slept together too. Albeit, a while after the crash, but in my heart I betrayed her too for doing that, so.."
