Taylor Swift
She desperately needed the distraction. With the breakup, moving to a new apartment, and the upcoming tour, she was in need of some fun. Blake had been spamming her phone with messages and calls all week about going out on Friday.
The day started slowly; her cats were the only reason she finally pulled herself out of bed. They had been patiently waiting, but soon they were insistent, meowing softly as they padded around her room. With a sleepy smile, she pushed herself up, slipped into her cozy slippers, and made her way to the kitchen.
After eating breakfast, she decided to do something productive. Heading to the gym more out of habit than necessity. The idea of pushing herself physically felt good, she needed to let go of the stress and anxiety.
Taylor made her way up the stairs to her bedroom to get ready for the day. She paused at the top, glancing at her unmade bed with a faint smile. It was tempting to crawl back under the covers and let the day drift by, but she knew that wouldn't help her clear her head.
As she reached for the door to the master bedroom, her phone, which she had left on top of the covers, started buzzing. She didn't need to look to know who was calling - Blake had been persistent all week, making sure Taylor wouldn't bail on their plans for the evening.
With a small sigh, she picked up the phone and answered.
"Good morning! Happy Valentine's Day, darling. I hope you remember what we had planned for this evening?" Blake's cheerful voice filled the room as Taylor set the phone on the nightstand.
"I'm not sure. Did I agree to watch the kiddos so you can have a date with your husband?" Taylor teased.
"Very funny, Swift."
"I think I'm hilarious," she laughed. "But unfortunately, I do remember."
"Good girl. Well, I just wanted to check. Put on the sexiest outfit you have! I'm gonna pick you up at eight. Love youuu," Blake said before hanging up.
