Taylor SwiftThe roar of the crowd still echoed in Taylor's ears as she made her way backstage. Sweat clung to her skin, her muscles aching from the three-hour set, but none of it mattered. The adrenaline coursing through her veins made it feel like she could have easily done another show.
The moment she had seen Ivy in the hotel suite earlier, all her nerves about the tour seemed to melt away. The surprise had caught her so off guard, but seeing Ivy standing there, holding that bouquet of flowers with that nervous smile, made everything feel like it was going to be okay. Even better than okay.
She hadn't expected Ivy to fly out in the middle of filming. That wasn't something she had asked for, knowing how demanding their lives were at the moment. But the fact that Ivy was there, supporting her when she needed it most on this special night, had touched Taylor more deeply than she could put into words.
The door to her dressing room clicked shut behind her, muffling the chaos outside. Taylor leaned against the vanity, catching her breath. She glanced at her reflection in the mirror, her chest rising and falling as she let the adrenaline start to subside.
The door opened softly, and Ivy stepped in, a small smile playing on her lips. "Hey, superstar."
Taylor's heart skipped a beat at the sight of her. Ivy looked absolutely radiant in a sparkly pink tassel dress, her tanned skin glowing in the dimmed light of the dressing room. Long brunette locks falling down her back, as she walked closer towards the blonde woman.
She pushed off the vanity and crossed the room in a few quick steps, pulling Ivy into a tight embrace. For a moment, neither of them said anything. They just stood there, holding each other.
After a moment Ivy pulled back slightly, just enough to look up into Taylor's eyes. Her smile was soft, her blue eyes filled with warmth and something else that made Taylor's breath hitch. Before Taylor could process what was happening, Ivy leaned in, closing the distance between them.
It was gentle at first, an exploration, a question. Then, as if they both realized at the same moment how long they had been waiting for this, the kiss deepened, became more urgent, more insistent. Taylor's hands moved to cup Ivy's face, her fingers tangling in her hair as she pulled her closer.
Ivy pulled back just slightly, her forehead resting against Taylor's as their breath mingled in the small space between them.
"I... I wanted to do that for a while now," Ivy admitted, her cheeks flushing slightly as she kept her eyes locked on Taylor's.
Taylor smiled, brushing her lips against Ivy's once again. "I'm glad you finally did it."
"I'm falling for you, Blue," Ivy said softly, her voice trembling.
Taylor's eyes widened, her heart racing at Ivy's confession. "Blue?" she repeated, her voice filled with surprise.
Ivy nodded, her smile growing. "It felt right," she said, her voice gentle, "because your eyes were the first thing I noticed about you that night, and they've been pulling me in ever since."
