Here we were: trapped in a closet while Dooseldoorfs roamed around outside. My people, I guess I could call them that since I was married to the commander of the Space Station, were screaming. I felt my heart begin to shatter with each whimper that I heard.

"D-Doctor, what's happening?" I asked as I wiped at the tears that were streaming from my eyes. I was crying over people that I didn't know. I could be crying over the fact that I lost my job, left my planet, left my friends and family. Instead, I was crying over these beings that I didn't even know. I never cried.

The Doctor turned to look at me. For a split second, I could swear he forgot that I was even there. His mind was somewhere else as he used the sonicscrewdriver to lock the door. "The Dooseldoorfs have found us," he said softly. I felt as if he was trying to break some very bad news to me very carefully. It was like he was worried about how I may end up reacting.

"You speak as if we have been running from them for a long time," I said in an even tone. "How long have we been running from them?"

"Six months," he replied. He reached past my shoulder and pushed on the wall behind me. It swung back. It was a door. There were no clues to this door being there. The only possible way for someone to take this route was if they knew that the door was there. The Doctor clearly knew his way around this place. I followed him down the corridor.

"Why can't I remember anything?" I asked. That was one of the main things that bothered me. I wanted to remember. I wanted to know who all of these people were to me. Darius, though just from looks alone is reason enough to want to remember my hidden past. I tried to tread as quietly as I could through the hall but the clinking of my heels still rang loudly, bouncing off the walls.

"We had to make you forget," he replied. He sounded so wounded, as if this was all his fault. "For your safety. For the safety of the Space Station. For the safety of your husband. When you had no recollection, we planted the story that you were freshly graduated from college. We got you a place in the city and set you up in that job with Benny. We made you forget for your own safety. We thought that the best place to hide you would have been from here. They never would have thought to check there or even in that time period. But I was wrong. I was so wrong."

I stared at him as I followed down the hallway, trying to absorb this new knowledge. "Then help me remember," I said in a whisper. "Please. If I really am married to Darius, I want to be able to feel something for him."

The Doctor scoffed and stopped walking. He held his arm out in front of me, stopping me in my tracks. He held his finger to his lips, making sure I knew that I was being shushed. The sounds of Dooseldoorfs walking by echoed around the corridor. Their footsteps were uniformed. They were an army. They were working on reaching a common goal. It seemed as if they footsteps were never going to disappear. It felt as if we were standing there for eternity. But soon enough, they finally ceased being close to where they were waiting. He moved his arm and started walking down the hall again. When we reached the door, he used the screwdriver to unlock the door.

"Doctor, what is it that they are after? What can I do to help them?" I asked.

"I can tell you what you can do that won't. Run," he whispered.

"Run?" I asked.

"RUN!" he yelled before pushing me in the opposite direction of the on coming Dooseldoorfs.

I didn't need to be told twice, though. In seconds, I was taking off down the hallway. The Doctor was right on my tail, making sure that he remained between me and the on coming troops. I turned a corner and immediately turned around to run the opposite way. The Doctor kept up quite nicely through this.
