It's only been two weeks since moving into the new house, plus having to start a brand new job at the same time is making life a bit hard to manage for someone like Jennie.

But Jennie Kim isn't the one who gives up that easily. With a tough mind and heart, you could only do so much to really break her down.

Then again, she doesn't let those things happen.

After getting a full night sleep in the first time in a while, the woman woke up fresh and brand new for the upcoming morning. Grabbing a cup of coffee and driving on the way to work really makes life a little easier than it seems.

Usually she isn't as stressed during her job after she got the hang of it, but this is particularly different. This next photoshoot of hers is one of the biggest ones yet. After some discussions and meetings that took way too long for her own good, she managed to grab this opportunity and she knew she couldn't pass it up. Jennie could only tap her finger impatiently on the wheel of how excited, yet a bit nervous she was for this gig. Especially when it's for a big brand.

As she grabs her hot cup of coffee in one hand, and her keys in the other. She mentally prepares herself for the day.

Perhaps things are really getting easier once there was barely traffic in the road and easily made it to the location. Her heart thumping against her chest only increased her excitement with this new opportunity.

Pulling over in the parking lot, she locked her car before going on her way to the building. Jennie gripped her bag tightly, hoping that this could all go well for her.

As she walks to the entrance, she took a deep breath, calming herself before opening the door. The next thing she hadn't expect was to see a familiar face on that same morning. Her eyes couldn't prepare for who was already looking at her.

The man who seemed so far away from her, walks away from all the makeup artists and staff surrounding him and slowly but surely comes even closer to her. Just for him to stand right in front, towering over her.

"Well who would've thought?" He laughed, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"Kai." Jennie says.

"I'm glad you remembered my name. Very thoughtful of you." Kai smiles, holding out his hand. "And which I'm also glad to be working with you on this project."

Jennie stares at his hand, then to his eyes before slowly taking it in her hand and shaking it.

They stood there in awkward silence, his hand still holding onto hers before Jennie has to force it away. Kai realizes it as he coughs and glances away.

"The makeup artists are waiting for you at the room in the back. Um, your clothes should be in there as well." He tells her, glancing back at her once more before giving her another smile.

As he starts to walk back to the set, he stops. "Oh and it's good to see you, by the way."

Jennie stares at his figure who was already walking away before she had the chance to respond. She was completely dumbfounded. In a few seconds she snapped out of it and immediately rushed to the makeup room.

Her mind was very confused as she sat in the chair, getting ready for the shoot. She knew that Kai was already a successful model but how could she not? Unfortunately for her, she can't seem to enjoy a nice shopping spree without seeing that same cocky smirk on every billboard.

She replays the same scenes in her head on that very night. She was lashing out on him, as he too was the same at her. All the screaming and yelling. It was when she had found out that Rosé was in a relationship with her girlfriend at the time, she nearly lost it. And in the same night, she ended things with Kai so abruptly with so much heavy emotion consuming her. It was just too much.

But Jennie doesn't regret ending things, she just wished she did it differently. She may not have loved him, but she cared.

She was lost in her thoughts before one of the makeup artists yells out that it's time for her to go back to the set. Jennie immediately began focusing and scrambling to find her outfit. Thankfully, one of the staff rushed at her side and handed it to her. It was probably those times during the shoots that it was starting to get hectic.

Jennie walks out of the changing room and rushed to the set, only for everyone to have their eyes set on her.

It was a long blue dress, fabric flowing on the ground with her hair up and face filled with makeup that complimented her features. Who wouldn't stare at her? Jennie could only blush and quietly mumble small thank you's to those who complimented her.

As she walks in front of the camera, she notices Kai too was staring at her.

The last time she had seen him, his hair was black and a bit messy. As well as he was a bit skinnier than he was now. Jennie admits that she almost didn't recognize him, his hair now being a light brown and gained some muscle. All while wearing a matching blue suit.

Kai continues to stare. "Wow. You never fail to make me speechless, you know that right?" He chuckles.

Jennie slowly nods in response to him, not knowing how to take that kind of compliment, if it even was a compliment. This shuts Kai up and they both immediately focus.

It was quite awkward for her to say the least. It was only for the shoot, she kept telling herself whenever the directors made them pose together. It was so awkward to the point where the staff pointed out her stiffness in every shot they took.

She could only sigh. This is going to be a long day, she thought.
