Long, torturing hours has passed by.

It was 7 AM the minute Jennie got to her work, it was now 5 PM and she dreaded every second and minute of it. She loves her new found job, but in situations like these, she wishes that she was buried ten feet deep in the ground.

Every time she was told to pose, it was always having to look straight into Kai's eyes.

She doesn't get it, seriously. After four different outfit changes and makeup touches, she was getting fed up with it and just wanted to go home and see her wife.

But Kai, he was acting like how he always was. Kind and polite. Yet she couldn't put her finger on it with the way this felt a bit strange, making her stomach sink a little.

He was staring at her. As he was told to the entire time of the shoot. And yet all those times it was the same look, that same look he had given to her when they were just teenagers. It made Jennie felt uneasy.

She immediately backed away and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath, not noticing all the stares on her the moment she stopped posing so suddenly.

"Jennie? Are you alright?" Kai asked, putting his hand on her arm.

She knew it was supposed to comfort her, but it only made her even more uneasy. Jennie opened her eyes at the touch and quickly took another step back, making him even more confused.

"I'm sorry. I need a quick break, is that alright?" She faced towards the director of the photoshoot, he gave her a short nod and she immediately walked to her room.

All she could hear was the loud slam of the door she closed and leaned her back against it. Her heart was beating like crazy, and not in a good way.

"Seriously, get yourself together." She had told herself, hoping that she would just wake up from this nightmare.

Not even a second later, she jumped in shock. Literally letting out the loudest squeal from the knock on the door she was leaning on. Poor girl can't catch a break.

Jennie had a feeling who it was. She was just praying it wasn't who she think it is.

After breathing in and out slowly one more time, she heard another few knocks and groaned. She opened the door and was left with no surprises whatsoever.

Kai was standing at the doorway, with a concerned face. "Hey. Um, just wanted to see how you were doing."

Maybe if you could at least give me a minute to see for myself, I could actually tell you. She thinks.

"Yeah, no. I'm fine, really." She says, looking anywhere but him.

"You sure? You kinda just stopped out of nowhere... I mean, I just wanted to see how you're feeling." He says, stepping one foot closer to her personal space.

"I'm fine, Kai. No need to make a big deal out of something so simple." She quietly replies, pushing him back a bit to walk past him.

"Jennie! Come on, don't be like this." He grabbed her arm, a firm hold on her as she wasn't able to walk away anymore.

"Jennie. It's just me." He sighs, trying to find her eyes. "I'm the same guy you met on that first day, I never changed."

She slowly turns her head and looks at him. Her eyes went back and forth from his eyes to his grip on her wrist.

"Let go." She says, glaring into his soul.

"No. Not until you tell me what really is going on."

"I do not owe you anything!" Jennie harshly whispers, not trying to cause anymore scenes.

"You do. Especially when you never told me the real reason why you broke up with me in the first place." Kai's voice slowly gets lower until his last words, looking down on the floor.

She was left speechless. She didn't think she would have this conversation, at least not anytime soon.

"You know why. You always knew." She whispers.

He looks up again, more sad than before "So it's true?"

"It was always going to be her."

Kai immediately lets go of her arm. More harshly than she preferred. "So you're saying you cheated on me?"

"What? I never said that!" She stares at him, very offended. "Yes, I loved her during our relationship but that doesn't mean I cheated on you. I never pursued her when we were together and even told you the moment we broke up. I told you my honest feelings."

"That still isn't fair for me, Jennie. And you know that." He groans, walking away then walking back like he was going crazy. "How come I loved you with all I had and you're telling me you have always loved her? Even before we even happened?"

"Yes." She sighs. "You didn't deserve that and my selfishness. I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm sorry."

Kai lets out another sigh, before taking her hand into his. "How about you make it up to me then?" He suggests, smiling at her.

Jennie instant thought was to scream at him, call him an idiot or anything. But a cough right next to them prevent her from doing so as she notices who was right in front of them.

Rosé, hand filled with homemade food and a noticeable frown plastered on her face.

"Rosie—"

"Well this is very uncomfortable." Rosé awkwardly laughs filled with no humor in her tone. Her eyes were set on their hands, making that same frown come right back up. Jennie pulled back at this.

"Ah, I see how it is." Kai looks back and forth between the two.

"So you finally got her?" Bitterness was so apparent in his tone as he asked Jennie. He stepped back a bit, acting as if he was offended by all of this.

"Rosie is my wife." She tells him, taking a step closer to her and grabbing Rosé's hand.

"Right." He whispers. His face once filled with such pride, now had the most pathetic look upon that same face.

Jennie thought he had given up, that was until he walked towards her and leaned down.

"That isn't going to stop me." He whispered into her ear, only for her to hear. He turned around and walked away so fast, she couldn't tell what type of expression his face made. But she didn't care, her hatred for him only grew.

Her thoughts came to a pause when she felt Rosé giving her the bag of food. "I just wanted to give you these since I assumed you won't be home in time for dinner." She whispers before walking back to the exit.

"Rosie, wait." She places the food onto a near table and ran to her, stepping in front of her to prevent her moving further away. "It really isn't what you think it is, I promise."

Her head was down so Jennie couldn't tell her expression quite soon, until she spoke.

"Really?" Rosé looked up, teary eyed and a trembling lip. Jennie could only feel her heart sink at the sight.

"Baby," She cooed, embracing her into a tight hug. "I promise you, the entire time I was trying to get away from him I swear. My mind was and always is on you." She cupped her cheeks, pressing her lips against hers.

Her lipstick definitely was going to get ruined, but she didn't care when their lips touched.

Jennie felt her smiling into the kiss, mentally giving herself a pat on the back for achieving to making her happy again. That alone made her happy too.

Pulling back, her hands never let go of her pretty face. "You never have to worry about something like this, not when my heart is entirely in your hands."

Rosé smile grows. "I love you." She whispers before leaning back in, not even giving the chance for Jennie to say it back.

They were too busy laughing in between their kisses to see a certain person glaring at them from afar.
