One day later Leyla and Mert were in the yard, seeing Emir off to his work trip to Turkey's capital city - Ankara. The moment Emir and his car were out of sight, Leyla let out a huge sigh of relief.
"Finally, I will be able to breathe, even if for only three days!" she exclaimed
Mert giggled and looked around quickly, before kissing her on the cheek.
"We will have our time." he replied "For a starter, I suggest that we spend some time at our place."
"This sounds like a lovely idea." she replied back "Let's go."
Thirty minutes later Leyla and Mert were in their Hidden Garden. They looked at the flowers which they themselves had planted, admiring how much they had grown and how beautiful they had become. The two lovers sat on their cherished wooden bench and spent nearly two hours hugging, kissing and talking about their own stuff, without anyone bothering them.
In the evening, around seven o'clock, Emir called Leyla to check on her.
"Good evening, Leyla!" Emir said "How are you doing? How are things going on in the house?"
"Everything is fine, do not worry." Leyla answered his questions "I am fine, too."
"This is good." he replied "Are you already working on that matter?"
"Which matter?" she asked
"You know what I am talking about." he answered "Preparing yourself for me."
Leyla rolled eyes with annoyance when she heard that. She then straightened herself and replied "Look, Emir... Even if I try, it will not happen so easily, unless it comes naturally to me."
"When will you be ready, then?!" Emir exclaimed with a hint of irritation "Just do not say never..."
"Even I myself do not know when." Leyla replied "It is possible that it may never happen. I am trusting my own body and feelings."
Emir sighed with clear annoyance and hung the phone. Leyla was relieved when he hung the phone, although she knew it was just a small victory in a much larger battle. She knew she had to think of new ways to keep Emir away from herself as much as she could, without exposing her relationship with Mert.
Leyla was looking at the night Istanbul through her usual window in the living room. Thanks to Emir's absence, for the first time she was calm, while looking at the breath-taking view.
At the same time, silent footsteps approached her, strong and protective arms wrapped around her from the back and thick, tender lips touched her soft cheek and thin, graceful neck in gentle kisses. Leyla melted at all this tenderness, forming a satisfied smile.
"This view is even more beautiful now, when I am watching it with you..." she exclaimed, enjoying the moment
Mert smiled and kissed the top of her head.
"You know... I have always dreamed of such moments with you..." he said
"Me, too." she replied "And you know what... I believe they will come sooner or later."
"I believe it, too." he replied back, kissing her cheek once again
Leyla smiled, turned her head back to him and he smiled back at her and kissed her sweet lips.
"By the way, you look really beautiful tonight!" Mert complimented
Leyla looked down at herself for a moment and then turned all the way around to Mert, wrapped her arms around his neck and said "Well, I have the most valid reason to.", after which she kissed him.
