*Leyla's Point of View*

Some hours later, in the afternoon, I received a new text message from Mert. I opened it and read "I will be at our place in half an hour. I will be waiting for you."

"Super!" I texted back "I am coming as soon as possible."

I then formed a smile and walked to my wardrobe to pick an outfit. I looked through my clothes, until I found a dress with black and white horizontal stripes, which matched perfectly with the way I myself was feeling at that moment. I realised I had no other choice except for accepting my fate as Emir's future wife, despite that I belonged to Mert with all of my cells.

The black stripes of the dress were for my ruined dreams and life, while the white ones were for the hint of hope that had left in me after I got engaged. And since I could not express my feelings and emotions vocally, I did it with the clothes I wore.

Once I convinced my parents that I was going to meet with friends from high school, in order to celebrate my marriage, I quickly went out and made my way to the Hidden Garden, where I was going to meet my one and only Mert... who, also, has become my personal bodyguard and driver. And this has got to be interesting!

*Author's Point of View*

Half an hour later Leyla arrived at the Hidden Garden, where Mert was already waiting for her. Seeing her, he approached her, kissing and hugging her the way she loved.

At this meet of theirs, Leyla seemed to be feeling a little better than the previous ones, when she was crying most of the time.

When Leyla and Mert sat on their cherished wooden bench, they spent some time in each other's hug, before Mert asked Leyla to lie down and put her head on his lap, so that he could caress her face and look down at her, while they were chatting.

Playing with a piece of her hair, Mert said "I will say something..."

"Hm?" Leyla exclaimed

"Today you seem to be smiling more than the previous some days." he said "I mean... Do not get me wrong, you know I love your smile and when you are smiling beautifully like this. But I am seeing you smile and it is making me happy."

Leyla giggled sweetly.

"Well, I realised that there is nothing I can do about all of this that is happening." she replied "I am slowly starting to accept my new life, however much I dislike it."

"Besides, now that I have such an attractive personal bodyguard and driver, I am willing to accept it more." she added, hinting at the surprise her beloved had made for her earlier the same day

Mert giggled at her words and then replied "As I said, I am not leaving you alone in this. Together we will find a way out."

"So, you are saying we are going to be like those couples from those books and TV shows with the forbidden love trope and will be meeting secretly in my... our... new home?!" Leyla exclaimed with a light smile

Mert responded with his own giggle and replied "Seems like..."

"But, hey... If we look at it from another angle, it will bring some adernaline and make our meetings more exciting." he added

"Yes, you are right, too." she replied "A little adernaline could be fun."

Both of them burst in laughter, helping them to forget the upcoming nightmare for a little while.

Mert then looked deep into Leyla's eyes, glided a thumb over her soft lips, rubbing them gently, and then leaned his head down to kiss her. Satisfied with the kiss, Mert licked his own lips slightly, indicating that he enjoyed the taste of her lips, which had a cherry flavour from the lip balm Leyla had applied to her lips.
