On the next morning Leyla and her mother were at the table, eating their breakfast, while waiting for Ali who was having an important phone call, as he claimed.

When he returned to the table, he smiled proudly and announced "Get ready, because tomorrow evening Ahmet and his family are coming to ask for our girl!"

As Leyla was drinking from her tea, she spat it out from shock, when she heard that.

"NE?!" she exclaimed in shock

"Dad, are you really going to do this?" Leyla asked her father

"Why not?" Ali exclaimed "You are a young, beautiful woman. You deserve to have someone good and successful by your side."

"Okay, but why the rush?" she asked "I do not even know if I am ready for such a serious thing like marriage."

"I do not think we are hurrying." Ali replied to his daughter "You already are in a perfect age for a marriage."

"Whatever..." she sighed and left the dining room

Leyla went back into her room. She was so shattered by the news which she had just heard, that when she closed the door behind herself, she just sat on the floor with her back leaned against the door. Not long after that her tears began to fall. Her life was getting ruined. They were ruining it slowly.

For a moment she felt a tension in her heart, as if someone had squeezed it, making her place her hand over the place where her heart was, and for a moment started taking deeper breaths.

When Leyla calmed a little, she again caught the pendant of her necklace, seeking the familiar solace and comfort that it always gave her.

Desperate with the need to see Mert as soon as possible, Leyla pulled herself together, stood up from the floor, took her phone and messaged him "I am heading towards the garden. See you there."

"Tamam, aşkım. I will be waiting for you there." he texted back

Half an hour later Leyla arrived at the Hidden Garden. When she arrived there, Mert was already there, waiting for her. He ran to welcome her when he saw her.

"Aşkım!" Mert exclaimed, approaching his girl

Leyla did not say anything. She just ran into his big and comfortable hug, hugging him as tight as she could. She clung to him, as if she was holding onto her entire life. She was hugging him, as if she wanted to hide herself in him and disappear into him, where she would be able to freely be only his and no one would have been able to take her away from him. He hugged her back almost as tight.

Seconds later Mert heard something like sobs which were muffled against the piece of fabric on his shoulder, helping him realise that his most precious girl was crying. He felt his heart clench at her sadness. He did not like it when she was sad and crying, and always tried to fix her mood.

"Leyla..." Mert exclaimed with a sweet voice, rubbing gentle hands along her small back and kissing her tender shoulder

"Leyla, bana bak, aşkım..." he said, pulling away and looking at her with a concerned look

Leyla pulled him back to herself and gave him a few deeper kisses on the lips, filled with all the love she felt for him, but also with the fear of being separated from him. She wanted to get a taste of her most favourite lips, before doing anything else.

Mert enjoyed her kisses, just as he always did, but felt that something was off with his girl. The way she hugged him when she came, the muffled sobs against his shoulder, the way she had just kissed him, and her body language in general could tell him that something was not alright. And he already knew her well enough to tell whenever her behaviour was more different than usual.
