Cassie Green was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. The way she fell asleep safely in my arms made me realize I was going to protect her from any harm. She went through a lot more than I did, but I'm always gonna be there and look after her because the truth is that I'm in love with her.
She slept so peacefully I knew that she was safe around me too. Maybe she likes me back? I didn't know.
8am in the morning
Today was a special day, we were celebrating the queen's newborn. A huge party was happening at the Kingswood Castle at Newsbury. Luckily some of us got invited. As comfortable as I was, I got up gently lifting Cassie off my chest and slowly popped her down on her pillow, careful not to wake her. I got dressed and head out for breakfast.
"Good Morning Liam" said Mr Trotts
"Good Morning Sir" I said with a bright smile I was looking forward to today.
"Where is Cassie?" Said Mr Trotts scanning the room but there was no sign.
"Asleep Sir, she had a terrible nightmare last night. She couldn't fall back asleep. But she's resting now" I said. I'm worried about her.
"Oh that poor girl, god knows what she's been through but she's a strong girl. Make sure you look after her Liam, she's going to need a lot of support. Said Mr Trotts
"Aye Sir, I will take good care of her I won't let her leave my sight ever" I said showing my respect.
"That's a good sport, Mrs Pillsbury has the list of who's going to the Kingswood Residential trip today. Why don't you pop down to see her, I believe Cassie is on the list I could swore I saw her on it, but you go have a look and I'll catch you round. If Cassie needs anything tell her she can talk to me if she needs. Said Mr Trotts.
"Aye sir I will" I said. Mr Trotts was our new pastoral support carer he was there for any concerns or worries we had.
There was no air raids today. Thank god.
I headed down to Mrs Pillsbury who had the list. I asked her who was on the list.
"Good Morning Mrs Pillsbury" I said with a smile.
"Ah Good Morning Liam, you were just the person I wanted to see, I looked through the list you and Cassie are both on there and will be going to Kingswood Residential/ Celebration trip make sure you get dressed and that you both should pack your suitcase. Said Mrs Pillsbury.
I completely forgot that it was a residential trip. If you didn't know, the ones that were on the list were picked by the queen herself. How Exciting. I ate breakfast and headed back to my dormitory. I was hoping Cassie was awake.
