6pm
Everything was cooked and ready. We Ophans sat in our own dining room we wouldn't be joining the baroness family tonight. Some of them headed to bed after a long day of work. Me and Liam played a game of Cards.
"The door knocks"
"Liam, Cassie, I want you to meet Marie. She'll be staying in your dorm meaning you both will have to share a bed for a few days" said Mr Potts.
*Door knocks again*
"Cassie and Liam, you have both been summoned by the baroness" said Frank the Servant
I looked at Liam with a worried expression on my face. We were invited to join dinner with them, I wonder why. Liam held his arm out I grabbed it. We walked towards the dining room.
"Ah young Miss Green and Mr Stowe, what a pleasure for you to be joining us" said Mr Baroness.
"We've heard so much about you. Miss Green we've heard your brother has gone MIA" Asked Mrs Baroness.
"Uh, I, uh" I got too nervous I struggled to speak. Liam looked at me and grabbed my hand and whispered quietly "Breathe Princess"
He told me."Yes, he has gone under MIA, soldier at the 4th division, serves as General under the APS (Army Protection Squad)" I said
"What a bright young man when was as a boy, I've been told he's alive" Mr Baroness
"R-really, he's not d-d-dead" I stuttered
"No my dear girl he's alive and well. He was just wounded but he's recovered he's back in business" Mr Baroness said"OH THANK GOD, THANK YOU SIR, THANK YOU, THANK YOU" I dropped on my knees crying tears of joy. Liam and Frank tried to pull me up.
"I admire your courage and your strength Cassie." Said Mr Baroness
"My Dear, I think it's getting pretty late we should head home now" Said Mrs Baroness
I shook the Baronesses hand and off they went.
"Right you two go to bed, work tomorrow" said Mr Potts
Me and Liam got into bed together while Marie was fast asleep.
"I'm so glad Daniel is okay" I whispered
"I told you Princess, I told you he would be okay" Liam whispered
"Thanks for everything Liam" I said hugging him
"Cassie there is something I need to tell you" he said
"What is it?" I asked
"I love you" he said
My heart fluttered, my stomach has butterflies I didn't know he felt the same way.
