Thank you all for reading!!! Hopefully you weren't weirded out by the sex thing last chapter. I just feel that now Daryl is completely comfortable around Beth and he just wants to show her how much he wants her in the time they have left. Also I think it is a little bit of Daryl's old personality showing, one he hasn't got to show in a long time ;) haha ~kristy

"So Glenn, me, Rick and Sasha are going?" I ask once more to make sure the plan is final.

"I would come but," Maggie drops her voice, "the baby." I smile at her.

"Of course." I say, and I climb into the van. Waving her off. Glenn is already half passed out in the seat beside me.

"I don't think it makes sense for you to go Rick." Carol argued. He just shrugged at her and kissed Judith on the forehead.

"I have a reason." He hugs Carl then starts towards the van, sliding into the drivers seat.

"Nah man." Daryl protests as well, he opens the door and climbs into the back.

"Daryl I need you here." Rick said, for the millionth time. Really emphasizing the word "need."

Daryl just stares ahead.
Why does Rick need to come with so bad?

"Daryl I know you want to come to protect Beth, but she'll be fi-"

"Every time I'm not around, she gets a new bruise, cut, wound, bite. Hell its like you use her for target practice." Daryl interrupts.

For the first time today, Rick looks at me, I know he is thinking about before the meeting. The pills. How he had beat me. But I hadn't spoken a word to Daryl and my bruises seemed to be healing fast.

"We don't have time for this." I say. Slamming the van door. "Drive."

Rick narrows his eyes, and mine flicker to Glenn who moans in pain. And just like that the engine starts. So we start towards Grady memorial hospital in Atlanta.

...

My head leaned against the cool glass of the window as the sun set turning the sky into a blue darkness. I wonder if the other side of the world got infected.

Russia, Europe, Africa?

Were they battling walkers daily too? Or did they not know. I laughed at the idea of only the united states, Canada and everything down south being infected, but the rest of the world didn't know.

We would get there around sunrise if I was right.

The drive was long, and I felt myself constantly checking to make sure Glenn hadn't bled to death. Each time relived to feel a faint pulse on his neck.

Sasha stared out the window, barely blinking and I thought how hard this was on her as well. I went and touched her forearm, she flinched a bit at the sudden movement.

"Maybe we can go see Tireese. I'm sure Rick wouldn't mind." At first I thought she would be angry at the idea of visiting her brothers grave.

But she just looked the other direction, whispering a "maybe." At the edge of her breath.

I leaned back in my seat, squaring my shoulders proud of myself a bit. I got that feeling that you get when someones watching you, and I turned my head, slowly.

Daryl raised an eyebrow, and I just smiled. Half grinned. He just placed his hands above his head and leaned back.

His long hair hiding his face.

The city came into view and I straightened, the hair on the back of my neck stood up. A slight feeling of deja vùs, mixed in with a lot of fear.
Calm down Beth, you didn't die here. You were beaten, almost raped, and shot. But you survived it.

My chest tightened as familiar buildings zoomed by my window as we drove deeper into the dark city.
I killed three people here.

Gorman. The other patient. And cop.

I did it all.

The sun was coming up as we pulled into a parking lot, the same one I had been carried out by Daryl when I was shot in the head. Everyone thought I was dead.

There were only two walkers lingering, and Sasha was quick to take them out as soon as she stepped out of the vehicle.

We all got out, Daryl took Glenn around his shoulders and we started towards the door.

Rick put a hand on my shoulder when I froze, I couldn't walk in.

"Beth. Its for Glenn." He said and I nodded.
For their child.

Then Rick gave me a small hug, "and for you." He whispered.

I nodded, walking towards the door, behind Rick. I pulled out my gun, as instructed, and followed Ricks lead.

The hallways still smelled of Bleach and blood and everything looked the same. We escalated up the steps, higher and higher till we got to the top floor. We paused at the door, listening to a few voices.

Rick gave a slight nod and we burst through the door, pointing our guns at the one and only Dr. Edwards.
