Morgan

We just arrived in Pensacola FL when Cal texted Hardy telling them that they were headed to the beach. Perfect. My nerves subsided when we got the hotel, the same hotel the girls were at. They weren't there thankfully so the surprise was still there.

"You doing alright?" Hardy looked over at me as he parked the car.

"Nervous man.  We've hardly talked since I told her how I felt." I spoke as I climbed out the car.

"I feel you man. Cally said she's been wanting to talk to you, but she just doesn't know what to say. Every time she gets the courage to say something she backs out of it." Hardy replied as he went to the room we were in. "You need a minute before we go or you ready to go get the girl?"

I sighed, pulling out the pair of swim trunks I brought and slipped them on along with the shirt that Blake once wore when she was at the house. "Here goes nothing man."

Blakely

Sitting on the sand with saltwater in the air is one of my favorite feelings ever. It doesn't matter how many people are around, it's one of the most peaceful things in the world. Cal and I were sitting here tanning in the swimsuits they had given us yesterday when suddenly all eyes were on us.

"Is it just me or is everyone staring at us?" I asked as I pulled down my sunglasses to look at the girl laying flat on the sand.

She sat up pulling off the sunglasses she had on before saying," Yeah no, they're totally looking at us. Can't blame them, we look hot." Then she puts her head back down.

I chuckled," I'm so glad you aren't bothered at all by this."

"Why would I be? I know I look hot and it's good to know other people see it to. You should feel the same." Her confidence is radiant.

I sighed before putting my glasses back on and laying my head back down on the chair I was in. The feeling of eyes on me eventually faded as everyone went back to whatever they were doing, so my mind wonders to him.

I wonder what he was doing right now. Was he thinking about me or was he with some other girl? I wonder if he finally gave up on me? I wouldn't doubt it. He did once before why wouldn't be any different? Besides he kinda famous now so he's got plenty of girls wanting him, why settle for me?

"So are you being for real when you said you wanted to move down here?" Cal asked. Almost sensing my mind was wondering into the rabbit hole of Morgan.

"Yeah. I'm always happier here so why not become local?" I shrugged.

"I understand that, but I'm going to miss you. So will Hardy and Morgan." She just threw his name out there like it was nothing, when in reality his name alone makes my heart skip a beat.

"Okay sure he would. I would miss yall too but yall are finna leave anyways after school. It's just gonna be the same thing, besides we will be working together now so I will see you all the time." I spoke truthfully. Since they did offer me a job, I will see her a lot more than anyone else.

"What about Morgan? You don't think he will miss you?" She questioned.

"I don't know. I will miss him but it's best for me to disappear down here. Besides he's famous now, he won't have time for me. On top of the girls that will be throwing themselves at him, yeah he will forget about me in no time. He did it before it'll happen again."

I could tell she was rolling her eyes behind her dark shades. I shook my head at her before getting up," Come on. Let's go cool off." I said before pulling her up and dragging her into the water.

We stayed in the water for a while before decided to go back to the shore and get a drink. We sat in silence before I noticed Cal was smiling and looking behind me.

Turning my head, "What are yo-" My breathing stopped when my eyes landed on him.

Morgan.

He was here.

And he was walking this way.

I turned to look back at Cal but she was already up and running towards Hardy. I sat there and watched him drop his stuff to pick her up in a hug. Then looked back at Morgan who was now looking at me.

I was frozen under his stare, I couldn't move as I continued to watch them walk towards me. Cal was on Hardy's back while Morgan was behind them looking at me like I was fixing to disappear if he looked away.

After a few more steps they reached where I was now standing and I had come face to face with him.

The man that I love so much.

The man that hurt me.

I was conflicted on seeing him. My nerves takes over, making me shudder. He was staring at me with his beautiful blue eyes that would make me weak to my knees. We stood that way for a few minutes before he finally spoke.

"Hey Mississippi."

"Tennessee."
