I walked through the gardens, enjoying the night air. Suddenly, I caught a whiff of something amazing - a scent that made my heart race and my senses tingle.

I followed the scent to a figure standing by the pond. As I approached, he turned around, and our eyes met.

It was like time stood still. I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body, and I knew - I knew - that this was him. My mate.

Lyrien's eyes locked onto mine, and I saw the same recognition there. He took a step closer, his gaze burning with intensity.

"Miranda," he whispered, his voice low and husky.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as he said my name. I knew that I was in trouble - the good kind.

Lyrien took another step closer, his eyes never leaving mine. I could feel the heat emanating from his body, and my own responded in kind.

Suddenly, he was right in front of me, his face inches from mine. I could feel his breath on my skin, and my heart was racing like crazy.

"Mine," he growled, his voice sending shivers down my spine.

Lyrien's eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire as he gazed at me. I felt my own body respond, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Yours," I whispered back, my voice barely audible.

Lyrien's face inches from mine, his lips brushed against my ear. "I've been searching for you, Miranda. My mate, my everything."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as his warm breath caressed my skin. My body seemed to melt into his, as if we were meant to fit together like puzzle pieces.

Suddenly, Lyrien's arms wrapped around me, pulling me close. I felt his heart beating against mine, and I knew - I knew - that I was home.

We stood there for a moment, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around us fading away.

Then, Lyrien pulled back, his eyes searching mine. "I won't let you go, Miranda. Ever."

I smiled, feeling a sense of joy I'd never known before. "I don't want you to."
