Astrid POV

I woke up the next morning to the smell of coffee and a throbbing headache.

"Good morning, love." Jake said, holding out a coffee mug to me.

"Love? That's new." I said, grabbing the cup from him.

"Oh, so you don't remember last night?"

"Oh shit, what happened?"

"Well," he said, "You went out drinking with Hannah, told your best friend she was a dora looking bitch, and then you came back here, tried to fuck me, and spent an hour throwing up."

"I said what?" I said, in shock that I would ever say anything like that to Priscilla.

"Oh yeah, and you told me you loved me." He said casually, my jaw dropped to the floor. I mean, I did love him, but I didn't think I was ready to tell him that. Drunk words are sober thoughts though, I guess whiskey has a bad effect on me.

"And um, did you say anything back?" I asked him, hoping for the best.

"I love you, Astrid, no drunken words could ever change that." He leaned over the bed and kissed me softly.

"Shit, I need to find Priscilla!" I shouted, pulling away from him and jumping off the bed.

I ran out the door as fast as I could and I was greeted by Sam, Josh, and Hannah sitting around the table.

"Good morning everyone." I said.

"Well, the bitch has risen." Josh said, glaring at me.

"I don't even have time to wonder about that, where's Pris?" I said, ignoring him.

Sam looked around, "Haven't seen her or Daniel since yesterday night, ask him."

"Where is he?"

"Down the hall, to the left." Josh said coolly.

I left the dining room and ran down the hallway, swinging the door open. "Danny!" I shouted, flicking on the lights, and my jaw dropped. There, lying in the bed with Daniel Wagner, was my best friend. They were cuddled together in the center of the bed, wrapped in each others arms. Danny looked up and pressed a finger to his lips, hushing me, he got out of the bed carefully and approached me, turning off the lights.

He led me out into the hallway. "What's wrong?" He asked me.

"Nothing, I just need to talk to Pris."

"She's had a long night, I would let her sleep."

"Why did she sleep in there with you?" I asked, even though about a million more questions were rushing through my head.

"She didn't want to take an Uber back to the city so late and I wasn't going to make her sleep on the couch." He said.

"And you slept with her?"

He paused for a minute, "We got to talking, and we just fell asleep." He was blushing, more red than I knew a persons face was capable of becoming.

"So nothing happened?" He nodded, "So why can't I talk to her?"

"You made her really upset yesterday, I've never seen someone cry so much while defending the person who was making them cry."

"What?"

"She was a wreck, not because you were being a bitch, but because she felt horrible about what she had done to you. She spent the entire day holed up in Josh's room sobbing, she wouldn't eat anything, when you called her a bitch all she could think of was how upset she was making you. Yesterday when you were fighting with Jake she knew exactly what song to play that would make you feel better, she didn't know Jake knew it, but she knew that you would stop taking your anger out on Jake if she played it. For fucks sake everything that she has done since we met you two has been to help you. After our talk last night, it made me realize that she will never forgive herself for hurting your feelings. No matter how much I tried to convince her that she did nothing wrong, the only thing she wanted was for you to not be mad." He finished, the blush on his face had changed from shyness to anger.
