Astrid POV

"Priscilla wake up!" I said, jumping onto her bed and shaking her violently. "We have to leave for the airport!"

She slowly opened her eyes, glaring at me, "Jesus Astrid, what time is it?"

"Five..." I said, trying to pull her out of her stupor.

"Go back to bed." She said, pulling a pillow over her face.

"But our flight leaves at seven!"

Priscilla slowly pulled the pillow away from her face, "You mean two hours from now seven?" I nodded, "Not dinner time seven?" She looked at me angrily.

"I just wanted to get there as soon as possible." I said defensively.

"So you picked the earliest flight possible?" She said, glaring at me.

"Maybe..."

"Bitch." She said quietly as she rolled out of bed.

I sat in the kitchen as I waited for Priscilla to finish getting ready, the most stressed I had ever been. It had only been two weeks since I last saw Jake, but I felt like a piece of me had gone missing, like I chunk of my heart had gone back to Nashville with him. As excited as I was to see him and the boys again, I knew that this trip was going to be hell for Pris. After what had happened with Danny and Sam, she hadn't spoken to either of them, the only person that she had kept in contact with was Josh. She didn't even want to come visit them with me, but Josh and I convinced her. Her contempt with the trip was clear in her expression as she walked out of the room towards the door.

"Alright, let's get this shit over with." She said, scowling as she pulled on her sweatshirt.

"Pris it's going to be fine, you don't have to talk to either of them."

"I still have to be with them and go to that fucking Halloween party."

"You don't have to go, you could just stay holed up in Josh's living room, watching scary movies."

"Whatever, let's just go already." She said walking past me to the door.

The entire flight was miserable, with Pris constantly complaining about having to see the boys and with stressing over seeing him again. I was going to be staying in his house, sure we had slept in the same bed; but two weeks together, alone in his house, who knows what could happen.

The minute the plane landed I ran off of the plane, I picked our seats where we would be closest to the door so we could get off first. I know that it seems selfish, but I had already waited two weeks and I couldn't wait any longer. I was running through the airport, dragging my friend behind me when I saw a big goofy smile on a curly haired man. I stopped dead in my tracks, and Josh tapped the shoulder of the person standing next to him. When he turned around I was greeted by his brown eyes and gorgeous smile. For a second I just stood there, soaking in the moment, before I broke into a full sprint running towards him. When I reached him, I jumped into his arms and took a deep breath in, appreciating the scent of cedar coming from his clothes, God I had missed that smell. As I pulled my face away I pressed a deep kiss into his lips and time stopped.

When we parted, he looked at me with those soft brown eyes, "God, I missed you."

"I missed you too, my love." I said, tucking his hair behind his ear.

After he set me down, I turned around, realizing I had left Priscilla, standing in the middle of the airport by herself with our two suitcases. Josh had walked over to her and was holding her in a tight hug.

I watched as Josh held Priscilla in a tight embrace, her initial scowl softening into a hesitant smile. I felt a wave of relief wash over me; if anyone could break through her defenses, it was Josh. The warmth of Jake's presence next to me grounded me, and I took a moment to soak in the reunion, feeling as if the chaos of the past weeks was finally melting away.
