Karan settled into his seat on the train and tried calling Dhruthi multiple times, but she ignored his calls. He looked out the window, feeling a mix of concern and frustration.
"What's wrong with her? Yeah, I made a mistake, but she shouldn't treat me like this," Karan said to himself, his voice tinged with sadness.Karan thought hard about how to make Dhruthi feel better. He wanted to say sorry and be friends again."Tomorrow is my last day of leave. I need to make Dhruthi forgive me by then," Karan thought.
Karan got off the train at the station closest to Dhruthi's home, instead of his own. He didn't hesitate, and directly made his way to her house, determined to make things right.
As he walked, Karan's heart beat faster with anticipation and a hint of nervousness. He wasn't sure how Dhruthi would react, but he was willing to take the risk to apologize and clear the air.Reaching her doorstep, Karan took a deep breath, gathered his courage, and rang the doorbell.
He waited anxiously, hoping Dhruthi would answer and give him a chance to make amends.
Vasundhra, Dhruthi's mother, opened the door and was surprised to see Karan standing there. Her face lit up with a warm smile as she exclaimed, "Karan! Oh my boy, come inside! If you were coming, you and Dhruthi should have come together, what happened?"She stepped aside, welcoming Karan into their home with a motherly affection.
Karan entered, feeling a mix of emotions - guilt, hope, and a desire to make things right with Dhruthi. He knew he had to face Vasundhra's curious questions and Dhruthi's potential anger to resolve the issue.
"Hello, Aunty! I'm doing great, and I've missed you so much! That's why I'm here," Karan said with a warm smile. "I know I should have come with Dhruthi, but I had some work to finish, and then I came straight here. Why can't I visit your home whenever I want, Aunty? It's like my second home!"
Vasundhra chuckled, her eyes twinkling with delight. "Of course, Karan, you're always welcome here!"
By the way, Aunty, where is Dhruthi?" Karan asked hesitantly, his voice laced with concern.
Vasundhra replied matter-of-factly, "She's sleeping, Karan. She came home and went straight to bed. She looked exhausted ."
Karan's eyes widened with worry. He realized that his thoughtless words must have affected Dhruthi more deeply than he had imagined.
"Let me wake her up, Karan," Vasundhra said with a chuckle. "She's been sleeping for over three hours! If I don't wake her up now, she'll be roaming around like a ghost all night, and I don't want that!"
Vasundhra headed towards Dhruthi's room, calling out to her in a loud whisper, "Dhruthi, wake up, dear! Karan is here to see you!" She turned back to Karan and whispered, "I hope you're prepared for a grumpy wake-up!"
Dhruthi was still sleeping deeply. Vasundhra turned off the fan and took Karan out of the room. She closed the door and said, "Get ready for Dhruthi to shout loudly!"Vasundhra was excited and whispering to Karan in the hall room.
Karan looked worried, wondering what would happen when Dhruthi woke up and saw him. Vasundhra was smiling and seemed to be enjoying the situation.
"MOMMMMMMMMMM!" Dhruthi shouted at the top of her lungs, her voice echoing through the house. She stormed out of her room, looking like she had just been through a tornado. Her hair was a tangled mess, sticking out in every direction, and her eyes were puffy from sleep. She looked like a wild child, and Karan couldn't help but stare at the sight before him.
Vasundhra chuckled and said, "I told you she'd be grumpy!" Dhruthi's eyes scanned the room, and when they landed on Karan, her expression changed from sleepy confusion to surprised embarrassment."Bava...when did you reach here?" Dhruthi asked nervously, her voice barely above a whisper.
