Jeevan stepped into the bedroom, oblivious to the tension hanging in the air.
Karan's heart raced as he watched Jeevan head toward the attached bathroom.
Time seemed to slow down.
Karan's mind was filled with worst-case scenarios.
But then, an eerie silence.
No screams, no shouts.
Karan's curiosity got the better of him. He cautiously stepped into the bedroom. His eyes scanned the room.
That's when he saw her. Dhruthi was hiding behind the door. Her eyes locked onto Karan's.
Her face pale.
Her lips pursed.
Karan's relief was palpable. He mouthed silently, "Are you okay?"
Dhruthi nodded.
Karan's gaze darted toward the bathroom.
Jeevan was humming. Unaware of the narrow escape.
Karan's eyes returned to Dhruthi.
Karan guided Dhruthi out of the bedroom, his eyes locked on hers.
"Wait at the terrace," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
Dhruthi nodded, her eyes filled with worry.
She hugged Karan tightly, her grip conveying her anxiety.
"As Dhruthi disappeared into the night, Karan returned to the living room.
Jeevan emerged from the bathroom, towel wrapped around his waist.
He dressed from his trolley, oblivious to the tension.
Over dinner, Karan's mind wandered to Dhruthi.
He pushed food around his plate, his appetite gone.
Jeevan, however, devoured his meal, discussing his interview.
"Good night, Karan," Jeevan said, rising from the table.
"If possible, wake me up at 6 am tomorrow."
"I'll revise for the interview and get ready."
Karan nodded, forcing a smile "Of course, good luck tomorrow."
As Jeevan retired to the bedroom, Karan's thoughts rushed back to Dhruthi.
He waited, listening for Jeevan's snores.
Then, he slipped out to the terrace.
Dhruthi waited, shrouded in darkness.
"Hey," Karan whispered, embracing her "Sorry about this."
Dhruthi's voice trembled "What if he finds out?"
Karan held her close "He won't. I've got you."
Their hearts beat as one.
Dhruthi's voice was muffled against Karan's chest.
"Where should I sleep tonight?" she asked, her words laced with uncertainty.
Karan's mind went blank. He couldn't think of a safe place.
His thoughts wandered.Their secret is precious.
One misstep would shatter everything.
As he held Dhruthi close.A resolve formed within him.
"Stay with me," Karan whispered "In my room."Dhruthi pulled back. Her eyes searched his.
Dhruthi's anger boiled over.
"Are you mad or what?" she shouted, her voice trembling.
