Ochaco went upstairs and headed towards Eri's room. She entered and grabbed the ladder of the little girl's high bed.
"Sweetie, it's time to wake up" she said.
But the young girl responded with just a grunt.
"Come on, or I'll give you the worst punishment" she said playfully.
The little one sat up: "NOT THE GUILLOTINES!" Eri screamed.
Three hours later.
The little "family" was finally ready to leave. All their things were in the car, and after a good ten minutes of chasing, Mochi was finally in her carrier, which was now on Eri's lap. They were set for a good hour's drive.
The journey was very calm. Eri and Mochi had fallen asleep shortly after the trip began. Ochaco listened to music while Izuku drove (logical, right?). Their first destination was his parents' house, where they would drop off their things and spend the night. Once that was done, they would take a tour to see what had changed and show Ochaco around the city. The following day, they would return, and their little group would go on the "mission," which was probably a setup by Mina... But let's let the story unfold.
Izuku parked the car. They had finally arrived. Ochaco got out and opened Eri's door, who was still asleep.
"Aww, they're so cute" she exclaimed.
"It's true" the hero agreed, looking at his daughter. "You can take Mochi while I take Eri. Don't worry about the suitcases, Toshi and I will bring them up."
She nodded and grabbed the bag with Mochi. Izuku took his daughter and they began walking towards the house. Once there, the brunette rang the doorbell, and they were let in.
"I'm so happy to see you!" Inko shouted.
"Calm down, you'll wake the little one" Toshinori pointed out.
"Right, sorry" she started. "But come in!"
"We're kind of standing in the doorway" Toshi finished, moving aside with his wife.
Izuku placed Eri on the couch, which woke her up, then he went back with his father-in-law to fetch the suitcases. Ochaco entered and sat next to Eri, who rested her head on her lap.
"Where's Mochi?" the little one asked.
"Your grandmother is feeding her, so she's probably in the kitchen" the brunette answered, gently stroking her hair.
"Do you know Musutafu well?" she continued, as if interrogating her.
"A bit, yes. I lived here when I was younger..."
"Huh..." Ochaco was cut off by Eri. "How did you end up in Tokyo, then?" she asked with excitement, eager for the story.
"That's a story for later!" she exclaimed.
Ochaco laughed at Eri's expression.
The young girl looked at her with a non-amused expression at the older one's reaction. Inko entered the room and looked at them. They were really cute together, and with her son, it would be even more so. (𝑦𝔢𝔰 𝓘𝔫𝑘𝔬 𝔰𝔥𝔦𝔭 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝓘𝔷𝔲𝔒𝔠𝔥𝔞, 𝔞 𝔟𝔦𝔱 𝔬𝔟𝔩𝔦𝔤𝔞𝔱𝔬𝔯𝑦 𝔦𝔫 𝔞𝔫 𝓘𝔷𝔲𝔒𝔠𝔥𝔞 𝔰𝔱𝔬𝔯𝑦, 𝔫𝔬...𝔚𝔢𝔩𝔩 𝔩𝔢𝔱'𝔰 𝔠𝔬𝔫𝔱𝔦𝔫𝔲𝔢) She hoped it would last. She hadn't often seen Eri smile and laugh like this for a long time, and it made her happy.
By the time the guys had finished bringing up the few suitcases from the trunk, Eri had fallen back asleep. Inko showed Ochaco the room where the little one was sleeping, and she gently laid her on the bed without waking her up. Then she returned to the living room where Izuku was reading a magazine that had been on the table. He looked up to see Ochaco, sitting next to him, giving him a big smile.
"Eri is in her room and, for once, really asleep" she said.
"We woke her up early this morning; let her rest," he began. "How about we go for a walk? Otherwise, they're going to keep looking at us like that" he whispered so only the brunette could hear.
"I'm with you," she continued in the same tone as Izuku.
They stood up and went to the door. Izuku called out to his parents that they were going for a walk.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at U.A. Izuku smiled, recalling all his good memories... and the bad ones, but he quickly pushed that thought aside.
"Do you want to tour U.A.? I think I can get us in" Izuku asked the brunette, who was also thoughtful.
"No, that's okay. I've been inside already" the young woman informed him.
"Oh."
They continued wandering around the city, making a few stops here and there until they passed by the cemetery. Ochaco stopped abruptly and looked at the entrance.
"Are you okay, Uraraka?"
She walked into the cemetery and headed mechanically towards a tomb. Izuku followed and read the tombstone:
"Mr. and Mrs. Uraraka
Loving parents"
He immediately understood why she had come here. He turned around and went to buy two flowers. Then he came back and handed one to her. She took it, placed it, then stood up and looked at him with a questioning expression.
"Since we're here..."
He took her hand and led her to another tomb where it was written: "Mr. Midoriya."
He placed the flower, then stood up, and they headed towards the exit. Izuku watched her walk with a question in mind.
"What did you say to them?" he asked, continuing to watch the brunette.
"Oh... I told them not to worry about me, that now I had a friend to... protect me" she said, blushing, which affected Izuku, who blushed as well. "And you?"
"I told him that I couldn't forgive him for abandoning us and that I was still trying to understand why he did it," he revealed.
They continued walking aimlessly until Ochaco had an idea.
"Hey... Do you trust me?" the brunette asked.
Without waiting for her friend's answer, she grabbed his arm and pulled him towards a very small house in a small neighborhood.
