"My story is really less interesting than yours. I was born on July 15th and grew up in a small apartment. My early years were quite good until I turned four, when I found out I was a Quirkless. I was bullied by someone who later became a friend (aka Dynamight). A while later, my father went on a 'business trip.' Years went by, and he sent a letter with a photo of a woman and two children, revealing that he had started a new family. Time passed, and despite everyone telling me I could never become a hero, I always wanted to be one. One day, I met All Might, who passed on his power to me (I had to eat a hair, it was horrible). I then went to take the entrance exam for U.A. A young brunette caught me before I fell, and I saved her from a huge zero-point robot. A little later, I received a letter from the same school announcing that I had been accepted. To be honest, I was quite sad not to see that brunette at the school... The years went by, we graduated, and we all became heroes. One of our first 'real missions' was to save that little girl you know well. Then I became one of Japan's top heroes, and I think you know the rest." He finished recounting his life and looked at the brunette.
"What if I told you that I've been following all your progress since your famous entry into U.A.?" she asked.
"Himiko Toga, get out of that body" he said, laughing.
"I could never have imagined that" she laughed too.
They calmed down and looked at each other. Ochaco blushed, which made the hero blush too. The more Izuku looked at her, the more he realized that all he wanted was to protect her. He never thought he would contradict himself one day... He recalled what he had thought or said before that day: 'As if love really existed.' Reflecting on that phrase, he remembered what he had told himself right after: 'What if you were that person? That young girl who would need help and whom I would help?' He never thought he would fall in love with someone, yet she had come into his life.
Without realizing it, Ochaco took his hand and rested her head on his shoulder as if she had sensed his inner monologue.
Izuku savored the moment before saying, "We should probably head out, right?"
She looked up at him and said, "You're right, but first, can we go get some things from my room?"
"I'm with you!" he said, getting up.
She stood up to join him and led the way. They went upstairs and headed to her room. Ochaco opened the door and went in. Izuku leaned against the wall and watched her.
She grabbed two boxes and handed one to Izuku.
"What's in these?" the hero asked, looking at the beautiful brunette.
"That" she said, pointing to the box Izuku was holding. "These are my old clothes. I thought someone like Eri might like them. And in this one, my most precious things—my PC and my secrets, both good and... bad" she finished with a finger on her lips.
Izuku looked at her and smiled, wondering what could be inside. Maybe she'd tell him one day. He hoped so.
"I'll let you listen to some of the stuff I made if you want" she said as she left the room.
They made their way back to Izuku's house calmly. Once there, they quickly put down the boxes to avoid drawing attention and then hurried to the living room. However, a very small person had seen them bringing the boxes into the house and joined them in the living room.
Izuku scooped up his daughter before she could surprise them.
"That's not fair! You know!" she said, making the adults laugh.
Izuku placed her on the couch, and she looked at them both: "So... who's going to tell me what's in those boxes?"
"It's ultra, super top-secret government stuff" Ochaco replied.
"Invisible bombs! I knew they existed!" cried the little one, making her father laugh.
She looked at him and then at Ochaco with a look that said, "You got me good."
Ochaco picked her up: "Don't make that face" she laughed. "It's just my old stuff."
She stood up with the child in her arms and took her to the room where they had left the boxes. She opened the one Izuku had carried, revealing some toys, plushies, and clothes.
"I'd like you to keep them... I don't need them anymore."
Eri looked into the box and pulled out a plushie of a blue creature...
"It's a Dream Eater, I named it Aoi. It's from the game Kingdom Hearts, my favorite—well, one of my favorites..."
Izuku, still leaning against the wall, watched his daughter discover all the surprises Ochaco had gifted her.
She seemed to really enjoy it, which made him smile.
