It was past 11 PM, and Ochaco had just finished her shift at the cabaret, but she wasn't tired, or at least that's what she told herself. To be honest, she couldn't sleep, so she didn't go home right away.
After leaving the cabaret, the young woman began running to a specific place: the roof of the restaurant, where she could see the stars. Those white dots that twinkled at night and that she loved. Once on the roof, she lay down to enjoy the view when suddenly she heard a noise that startled her.
"I scared you, Miss Uraraka. Sorry" said a male voice.
She sat up and turned to see the one and only Deku.
"Of course you scared me, Deku" she replied. "What are you doing here?"
"Same thing as last time, and you?" asked the hero.
"I just got off my shift at the cabaret, and I can't sleep, so when that happens, I come up here" she said.
"And does that happen often?" he asked.
"All the time, to be precise. You see, before coming here, I lived on the streets after my parents died. I learned about their death on what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life, which ruined my day, and I didn't know what to do. I stayed in our house for a week, but people found me and took me to the nearest orphanage. I spent about 2 days there and then ran away. I didn't belong there. I spent at least 4 weeks on the streets until the owner came to see me. All that to say that I'm now used to looking at the stars," the brunette declared.
"And the rest of your family?" Deku asked.
"I have no family on my father's side, and on my mother's side, we cut ties after they all became selfish because of the money they earned. They didn't need poor relatives in their family..."
"Your life must not have been very peaceful" the hero said, thinking about something.
"And you?" she asked.
"Not as complicated, but still... Get on my back" the hero announced.
"What do you mean?" Ochaco expressed.
"You haven't eaten, have you?" Ochaco nodded. "So come on!"
The young woman looked at him strangely, but her body reacted before her mind, and she climbed onto his back.
"Don't be afraid" the hero said before activating his Quirk and jumping into the void.
Several minutes passed, and Deku set the young woman down in front of a fairly impressive building. Ochaco, still in shock, needed some time to recover from what had just happened.
"Where are we?" the brunette asked.
"Ochaco Uraraka, I present to you my agency and that of my friends, Agency A," Deku declared before entering and leaving Ochaco completely alone.
At least 5 minutes passed, and Deku reappeared in casual clothes in front of Ochaco, who hadn't moved from where she was.
"Come in, you've been waiting for 5 minutes" the young man said.
"Yes, wait... Do you prefer I call you by your hero name or your real name?" she asked as she entered the agency.
"Without my costume, call me Midoriya. Follow me" he replied.
Izuku gave Ochaco a brief tour of the agency. Downstairs was the reception area followed by a grand staircase.
He then took her up to the first floor and showed her the kitchen, the living room, a playroom for kids, and a video game room.
Then they returned to the kitchen. Izuku signaled for Ochaco to sit down and began preparing food. Ochaco watched from a distance as Izuku cooked. Strangely, now that she was here, she felt like sleeping and catching up on all the nights she had missed, and besides, Izuku was quite cute.
"Why am I thinking about this?" she wondered.
He was quite tall, at least compared to her. He had green hair, emerald eyes, and some freckles, and he was rather muscular. Izuku felt Ochaco's gaze but quickly forgot about it. A few minutes later, he finished cooking and brought the food to Ochaco. He placed a simple soup in front of her.
"There wasn't much in the fridge, so I made do with what we had..." said the young man.
"Don't worry. But aren't you going to eat?" the young woman asked.
"I'm not hungry" he replied.
He sat down across from her, and for the first time, he really observed her. She was quite pretty and mysterious.
She was a bit shorter than him, about 5 or 10 cm difference. She had light brown hair, large chocolate-colored eyes, and rosy cheeks. She was wearing her work uniform: a white shirt and a skirt that seemed a bit small for her. But through it all, she looked really tired.
"Thank you for the soup" she said with a smile.
"You're welcome. You look tired; I can take you home, or you can use my bed if you need it" the hero said.
"I'll go to the living room, and one last thing, please stop using formal speech" she said.
"Okay, but only if you stop too" he replied.
"Got it, Midoriya," she said as she disappeared from the kitchen.
Izuku took his bowl and rinsed it, then headed to the living room to find Ochaco completely asleep on the couch. He picked her up and carried her to his bed, then placed her on it.
"Good night, Uraraka" he said as he left.
He returned to the living room and lay down on the couch to sleep.
