"I still can't believe you choose photography over art." Heejin says
Chuu and Heejin were on their way to Ice cream shop while talking about upcoming school year.
"What? I like photography. I prefer it over art. I don't know how to draw." Chuu says
"It's not that hard, I could easily teach you."
Chuu laughs softly and says "Come on now. You already tried to teach me like a thousand times."
"And I will try thousand and one time. Until you learn."
Chuu laughs again "In your dreams."
They continue talking about upcoming school year and Heejin kept teasing Chuu about her bad art skills.
After they got their ice creams they went shopping for clothes and supplies for school, since it was starting in 2 days.
"I wonder if there will be any new students" Chuu says
"God I hope not. I hate everyone in our class already. I don't need another person on my blacklist."
Chuu laughs again "Come on Heejin, don't judge people you don't even know."
Heejin laughs "Chuu we don't even know if that 'new classmate' even exists"
After the shopping they went to Chuus house for a sleepover.
At sleepover they did usual sleepover things. Face masks, gossips, baking, movies, and of course pillow fights. This was the first time sleepover is at Chuus house. It's usually at Heejin's.
"I can't anymo- HEEJIN STOP" Chuu says while laughing and falling on bed. "ENOUGH OF PILLOW FIGHTS FOR NOW PLEASE"
"Okay but I won." Heejin says while laughing, laying on the bed next to Chuu
Heejin looks around Chuu's room and photo on the bedside table caught her eye. She picks it up and looks at it.
"You look so young" she says
"Right?"
"Yeah" she says while still looking at the photo "Is this Yves?"
"Yes. It's her."
"Pretty. When was this?"
"About 5th july 2018? Not sure. I framed the last photo we took together. "
" I wonder what she looks like now."
" Me too"
Chuu's pov
Heejin was right. Yves w̶a̶s̶ is really pretty. I really want to know what does she look like now. I want to know everything about her. I want to know if we still like the same things. I want to kno-
"Chuu"
Heejin interrupted ny thoughts.
"Yes"
"Do you think she is alive?"
"I hope she is."
"No"
Chuu looks at her confused
"I said, do you think she is alive. I know you hope she is. "
I stay silent for a moment. Everything turned cold. I felt sweat all over me in a second. Why am I not answering? Because I don't know. I really don't know. I always hoped she is alive, but I don't know if I should. What if she's dead already?
Suddenly everything becomes cold. I still feel sweat everywhere. Why can't it stop?
"Chuu? You okay?"
Heejin breaks the silence
" I don't know Heejin. I don't know if she is alive. I'd like to think she is but.."
"I understand" Heejin says and pulls me in a tight hug "I'm sorry for asking, I know you don't like talking about it."
"No it's okay. Don't worry."
We changed the theme of our conversation and continued talking, but I barely listened to her. I felt sorry for that, but I couldn't stop thinking about what she said.
