At 11pm, O'brian messaged me. At that 11pm, I jumped and twirled in joy because Matteo agreed and said he would bring over some friends too. No problem, the more, the merrier. Then at 12am, I realized that we had to get supplies for the party so I texted O'brian.
At 12:30am, O'brian agreed and the destination and time were picked. Walmart, 5pm. I screamed in joy, got comfy under the blankets and dozed off into a sweet slumber. As I arose, I acted like Snow White, singing to jerry who was hiding in my kitchen cabinet, shrieking my lungs out when I saw a cockroach doing the boogie on my kitchen island and swept the house while I waited for my little dwarf to come over.
Gam Gam noticed my odd behavior but she didn't speak up on it. She must've thought to herself, "it's really about time I called the mental asylum for this lady."
For the mean time as I waited for O'brian, I read and read and read, feeding myself with more delusions that was actually kinda dangerous for my mental health. I read a book, this particular book shattered any form of common sense in my head. The book made me so delusional that I started religiously daydreaming about tomorrow and what could take place.
I could just feel it; Matteo kissing me under the moonlight and then introducing me to his friends. They cheer and welcome me into their clique and the curtain draws and we live happily ever after, The end.
Five pm finally came and I ran out to the pourch, waiting for grumpy the dwarf to pick me up. He came on his bike, smiling with his AirPods plugged in. He reached my house, still bobbing his head to the music. I walked up to him, and removed one of his AirPods.
"It's dangerous to drive and listen to music. Haven't you watched every romantic movie?" He rose up his shirt, and dug his hand into his Jean pocket, pausing the music playing from his phone.
"So, are we going on the bicycle?" I asked, scared for my safety on the shaky little thing.
"No, how can you think of me like that? The Lamborghini is just parked right at that corner, your royal royalness." he replied sarcastically. I gave him a quick punch on his shoulder and he winced loudly. I sat on the iron bar right on top of the back tyre, trying to get as comfortable as I could.
He wanted to start riding away but I refused to hold onto him.
"If you fall, don't blame it on the bicycle," he simply said, before starting to move. I was determined not to share any physical contact with him but as he just moved a feet further, I lost my balance and fell to the ground. O'brian jumped down from the bike, rushing over to me.
"You rather risk your life than just holding me?" he brought out his hand and pulled me up to my feet, examining if I had any scratches. "Imagine you got badly injured, your grandma would kill me."
"She wouldn't even notice." He didn't reply, still fixated on examining my body thoroughly.
"You sure you're alright?" I rolled my eyes, removing my hand from his.
"I fell off a bike not a freaking airplane." His expression changed, nodding and walked back to his bike that was on the ground. He picked it up and climbed back on.
"If you aren't willing to hold onto me, then you'd just trek and fyi, Walmart is a donkey years journey from here." I rolled my eyes, knowing he was just exaggerating so I chose to walk. We got to a small freeway, and my legs had become numb and worn out. O'brian was a far distance from me, looking energetic and fresh. I was panting for air while he was taking in deep, rich breaths.
I couldn't even yell out for him because I was too tired. I slid to the ground, sitting on a higher pavement behind me. Why did I always make bad decisions? I heard the sound of tyres approaching me and I looked up and gave him an appreciative smile.
