Meanwhile during this time, Linda, who had finally made it back to New York very early that dawn, stood in front of the New York social services building, and while she did this, she sighed and held up the tiny photograph print of Heather that she had shown the officer back at Heathrow Airport. "My sweet little Heather, I promise, I promise promise promise...." Linda began, as she took a deep breath again. "You will be happier.....you will have an affectionate, loving and supportive daddy.....one that you deserve..." Linda whispered as she put the print back into her pocket and marched into the building trying to remain calm and confident as she heard footsteps behind her, making her stop and turn around. "Excuse me? Do you happen to be involved with child care social services?" Linda asked as she saw a lady with a briefcase and rouge blouse behind her. "I am, but what on earth are you doing here at the office at barely 7am?" The lady questioned with concern as she could see how distraught Linda was. "My name is Linda Eastman, I need someone to help me get my daughter adopted..."

Eventually, Linda followed the lady she had met at the entrance into an office and took her seat in front of the desk. "Alright Ms. Eastman, my name is Jennifer Fredrickson, what can I help you with today?" The social worker welcomed her as Linda looked up at the ceiling that was decorated with beige and gray parallel beams and panels. "Well, I want my daughter to be adopted, specifically adopted by my boyfriend...and soon husband..." Linda began as she looked back at Jennifer who was nodding trying to understand and convey she was listening. "Umm, how old is your daughter?" Jennifer asked as she began to write in her notebook. "She's five, nearly six, born December 31, 1962...." Linda answered as Jennifer nodded again, "And where might your potential adoptive father for your daughter be located? Is he within the Manhattan area? New York?" Jennifer asked as Linda giggled awkwardly. "No, he's located in England, and London to be precisely accurate." Linda answered as Jennifer studied her. "You want your daughter adopted by someone from another country? Isn't that slightly over the top?" Jennifer asked as Linda nodded in reluctance. "I suppose you're not the first to tell me that...." Linda answered as Jennifer looked at Linda again trying to remain supportive.

"However, you see, I intend to move to the United Kingdom myself, to be with her, and of course the adoptive father..... I just have some final business to finish up here in the states before I do that...." Linda finished as Jennifer wrote in her notebook again. "And where is your daughter?" Jennifer asked as she looked at Linda sternly. "She's in England right now...." Linda soon admitted as Jennifer studied her with disbelief. "With the adoptive father? I presume..." Jennifer questioned as Linda nodded. "Yes, she's in good hands, I'd never place her within harm's way, and I might as well disclose.......I'm expecting...expecting a second child......." Linda admitted as Jennifer tried to lighten her smile. "Oh, congratulations! Who's the father?" Jennifer asked sweetly as Linda sighed. "The man in England? I gotcha.....I see, I see....what's your daughter's name?" Jennifer finally grasped Linda's intentions. "Heather....Heather Louise See, spelled S-E-E" Linda answered as Jennifer wrote down what she had heard, "Beautiful name, now, where is Heather's biological father?" Jennifer questioned as Linda sighed again, as she had no interest in reminding herself about her ex.

"His name is Joseph Melville See Jr, he works and resides within the boundaries of Tucson, Arizona ... However, he hasn't been involved with Heather for the majority of her life, last time they even saw each other was in 1965, she was barely 3..." Linda explained as Jennifer nodded. "I understand, but due to protocol we must have the permission of both biological parents, as well as the potential adoptive parent before we can proceed...." Jennifer explained, trying to be reassuring. "Understood..." Linda whispered, as Jennifer nodded once more. "Can you please provide the name of the potential adoptive father?" Jennifer asked in an attempt to change the topic, but still remained focused with business. "Certainly, his name is James Paul McCartney...." Linda answered as Jennifer looked at Linda with surprise. "Wait...wait wait...Am I hearing this correctly?" Jennifer asked as she dropped the notebook to the desktop much to Linda's dismay. "What's the problem?" Linda asked with perplexed curiosity. "You're telling me you want to uproot your 5-year old daughter's life, move her all the way to England, and you want her to be adopted by Paul McCartney? The Beatles Paul McCartney?!" Jennifer asked with her voice seeming more angry than helpful.

"Yes? So what? I believe he's more than capable of being fatherly to Heather and our new baby on the way...." Linda defended as Jennifer shook her head in disbelief. "Yes, but he's not the average person, he's gonna have the media chasing him down for the rest of his life, he knows no sense of normality and even if he did in the past, he's never gonna get it again! I just don't think being adopted by someone with that amount of fame and attention would be best for your impressionable child.....as a social worker, I try to look for what's best for the child, and not to dismantle whatever you've built with him, but I personally don't think that's what's in the best interest of Heather." Jennifer argued as Linda shook her head dismissing everything she was being told. "It's not unsafe for her, it's definitely in her best interests, I know what's best for Heather! For crying out loud, I'm expecting her little sibling with him! Please, I'm begging you! Just help me get this adoption squared away!!" Linda eventually broke down as Jennifer lightened her demeanor again. "Of course Ms. Eastman, I'm sorry, I'll get that in motion, but one last question...." Jennifer tried to hush her as Linda sobbed. "What?" Linda asked with a sniffle as Jennifer looked at her seriously again. "Does Jane Asher know about all of this?" Jennifer asked as Linda glared at her with annoyance. "I don't know!" Linda responded with irritation as Jennifer tried to hide the fact that she wanted to ask more questions about Paul.
