The clock in Wade's room read 1:34 a.m. Logan was still beside Wade, fast asleep with his arms wrapped around him. Wade had turned over during the night to face him, and had settled an arm around Logan's side.

Logan wasn't exactly a quiet sleeper. It wasn't his fault, really, since most of the time he was either snoring or having nightmares. This night unfortunately wasn't an exception. He started to break into a sweat, turning over slightly and kicking the blanket onto Wade.

Wade woke up slightly, wondering what was going on. He pulled Logan a bit closer, trying to go back to sleep, but immediately felt that something was off. His hand was on Logan's chest, which was quickly and shakily rising and falling. He listened for a moment. He didn't want to wake him up if it wasn't completely necessary, since Logan would probably just get mad at him. Wade looked up to his face, which was contorted into a twisted look of nervousness.

He shook Logan by the shoulder.

"Hey, peanut- Wake up."

Logan's eyes opened and he sat up immediately, which was accompanied with a quiet gasp for air.

"Sorry, bub..." Logan whispered. There was a weird effect in his voice, but Wade couldn't put a finger on what it was. He slowly laid back down, still shaking slightly.

"It's fine...what was that about? It looked like you-" Wade started to ask.

"It's fine, don't worry." Logan deflected the question completely. "It happens sometimes. Go back to sleep, bub."

It clearly made him uncomfortable that Wade had started to press him with concerns. He wrapped his arms back around Wade, who buried his face in his chest. Logan grumbled lowly at this, and let his hand creep up to rest behind Wade's head.

His eyes fluttered shut, his breath evening out at Wade's touch.

The two woke up tangled in each other's arms.

Their eyes flickered open, awakened by Wade's alarm clock once again. Wade slammed his hand into it and turned it off.

Logan stretched sleepily, groaning.

"Jesus, calm down..." Logan complained.

"That's weird coming from you..."

Logan rolled his eyes. He saw Wade getting ready to make another comment, but quickly covered his mouth.

"Five more minutes of quiet..." Logan closed his eyes again, keeping his hand over Wade's face.

Wade reluctantly let this happen; He was too tired to do anything about it. He shivered softly as he closed his eyes and settled back into Logan's embrace.

After a few minutes, Wade broke the silence.

"What's going on with all of this?"

"What do you mean?" Logan asked.

"Well, I guess I'm just wondering if you want this or not. If you even date guys? I know nothing about you personally, damnit."

"That's because unlike you, I don't use my mouth like it runs off of diesel. But seriously, I'm about 200 years old. Of course I've had a couple interactions with guys."

Wade's eyes lit up ever so slightly.

"So...was the Odyssey a one-time thing-? Or am i gonna have a second chance anytime soon?" Wade asked eagerly.

"Maybe, but maybe not if you keep asking about it."

"That's a yes, isn't it?"

"Don't test your luck, bub." Logan warned.

"Come on, even the readers know it! The author's probably got the whole thing planned out already. It's fate, Grumpy! Don't keep the audience waiting." Wade smiled at him.

Logan had a flash of confusion run over his face.

"The fuck are you even talking about?"

"Admit it, you want to-!"

He shoved Wade, sending him over the edge of the bed. Wade let out a quick shout of surprise mixed with a bit of pain as he hit the floor.

"Stop being weird. I'm getting up."

With that, Logan stood up and went to grab clothing. Wade was left tangled up in the blanket on the floor.

——————————————

Wade was already in his clothes by the time Logan exited the bathroom. He was in his signature jeans and tank top, and Wade couldn't help but admire the guy's physique.  He tore his eyes away from his torso to look at him.

"Well, what should we do today? So many options. Show you around the city? Hang out in the house? Stay in bed all day and-"

Logan's fist made contact with Wade's jaw, causing a loud pop.

"Do me a favor and shut the fuck up. First one sounded good, let's go with that." Logan watched as Wade's jaw healed.

Wade nodded.

"That's fine, we can go get lunch or something. Shawarma again, maybe?"

"Sounds fine to me, let's go."

With that, the two left their room to get to the door. Blind Al was sitting in the living room, listening to some game show again. They walked past her toward the door.

"We're headed out, Beifong. Don't miss us too much!" Wade said, reaching for the door.

"I won't, don't worry. I'm assuming you two should be back tonight?"

"If all goes according to plan, sure."

Al nodded.

"I'll have food here when you two get back."

"Thank you." Logan replied.

"Perfect, just please don't mix up flour for coke again if you're the one cooking." Wade said. "Not looking to do that one again."

"I'm blind, asshole. Tell me when you can cook blind. They feel the exact same!" Al retorted. "Get lost, you two."

They both walked out of the apartment and down the stairs, once again on their way back to the Odyssey.
