Izuku,
I know it's early, but I couldn't wait to start your birthday celebrations. Remember how you always said you wished for a surprise that would kick off your special day with a splash? Well, here it is.
I tiptoed around the house this morning, quietly filling up water balloons and getting everything ready while you were still asleep. The excitement was too much to contain, and I had to make sure I was ready to see that smile of yours when you woke up.
So, when you open your eyes and hear the commotion, just know that it's me, ready to shower you with a playful surprise. I've got balloons hidden everywhere—waiting to be thrown, splashed, and enjoyed. I promise it's all in good fun, and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate you than with laughter and a little bit of chaos.
I hope you're ready for some water balloon mayhem because I'm about to turn your morning into a party you won't forget. Here's to making your birthday unforgettable, filled with joy, love, and of course, a lot of laughter.
Happy Birthday, my love.
With all my love,
Katsuki...
Izuku stirred awake to the obnoxious sound of Katsuki's alarm clock blaring an ear-splitting rendition of 'Happy Birthday.' He groaned, blindly flailing his hand across the nightstand in search of the source. Why does he still have this thing? And why did he set it to that ringtone? He thought groggily, eyes still shut tight against the intrusive light filtering through the curtains. Suddenly, something cold and wet splattered against his face, making him squeak in surprise. His eyes shot open to meet Katsuki's mischievous gaze and a water balloon poised for another attack. "Happy birthday, Deku!" Katsuki crowed, launching another one at his disoriented boyfriend.
Izuku managed to dodge it in time, but it exploded on his pillow instead, soaking his hair and pillowcase. "KACCHAN!" He yelled, laughter bubbling up despite himself. In retaliation, he lunged forward, tackling Katsuki onto the bed, drenching both of them in the process. Their laughter echoed throughout the room as they engaged in a full-blown water balloon fight, pillows flying, and water splashing everywhere. Izuku couldn't remember the last time he'd woken up to such a chaotic yet joyful birthday surprise. Even when Katsuki managed to drench him completely, he couldn't help but smile, grateful for the warmth radiating from his boyfriend's body pressed against his and the childlike excitement dancing in those usually sharp eyes.
When they ran out of water ammunition, both panting and drenched, Izuku finally managed to pin Katsuki down, straddling his waist with a victorious grin. "Truce?" Katsuki offered breathlessly, a playful glint still shimmering in his gaze. "Only if you promise to help me clean up." Izuku countered, poking Katsuki's wet cheek lightly. Katsuki grumbled, but the corners of his mouth curved upwards into a reluctant smile. "Fine, fine."
Izuku couldn't help the giggle that escaped him at Katsuki's defeated expression, which only made the latter narrow his eyes playfully. "You're going to regret that smug face." He threatened, but the lack of heat in his voice betrayed his true feelings. Izuku's grin grew wider, heart swelling with happiness. "Never." He retorted, leaning down to press a wet, but genuine kiss to Katsuki's forehead. "Thank you, Kacchan." He whispered sincerely, his arms loosening around Katsuki's wrists. Katsuki blushed crimson, but he didn't pull away. Instead, he reached up, brushing a strand of green hair out of Izuku's eyes tenderly. "I..." He started, voice gruff.
"I wanted to do something special." He admitted, looking away bashfully. Izuku's heart skipped a beat at the rare show of vulnerability. Katsuki rarely expressed his feelings so openly, preferring action over words. It made moments like these feel even more precious. He leaned forward, capturing Katsuki's lips in a soft, lingering kiss. "This is perfect." He said against his lips, green eyes shining with sincerity. Katsuki blushed deeper, but his hands came up to cup Izuku's cheeks, returning the kiss with equal fervor. They pulled apart breathlessly, foreheads pressed together. "Now," Izuku began, eyes sparkling with mischief. "About that truce?" In response, Katsuki lunged forward, grabbing the discarded water bottle from the nightstand and drenching him again, laughter filling the air once more.
