I can't stop thinking about that day at the amusement park.

We must've ridden every roller coaster they had, over and over again. I remember how you'd grab my hand just before the drop, that mix of fear and excitement in your eyes. I acted like I wasn't scared, like I was too tough for that, but the truth is, my heart was racing just as much as yours. And it wasn't just the thrill of the ride—it was being there with you, feeling alive, like nothing else mattered but us in that moment.

I think I laughed more that day than I had in a long time. You have this way of making everything seem lighter, like the world's not such a heavy place after all. And when we were up there, high above everything, with the wind whipping through our hair, it felt like we could leave all our worries behind, at least for a little while.

But now, looking back, I realize it wasn't just the roller coasters that made that day unforgettable. It was the way you looked at me, the way you smiled when we were about to plunge into the unknown. It was the feeling of your hand in mine, that quiet reassurance that, no matter how scary the drop, we'd make it through together.

I wish we could go back to that day, to that feeling. I wish we could laugh like that again, without anything hanging over us, without the weight of everything we've been through pressing down on us. I miss those moments, when it was just you and me, holding on tight and facing the ride together.

Goodbye for now, but I hope we find our way back to those highs again someday

Katsuki

...

In the middle of a crowded amusement park, Izuku glanced at Katsuki nervously as they stood in front of the infamous 'Zero Gravity' roller coaster. After days of sulking due to a misunderstanding, Katsuki surprised him with tickets to their childhood favorite place, a peace offering wrapped in adrenaline and memories. Izuku couldn't refuse even if he tried.

"You sure about this, Kacchan?" He asked, gripping the railing tightly, green eyes wide with a mix of excitement and fear as he watched the thrilling contraption twist and turn overhead, passengers screaming in delightful terror.

Katsuki snorted derisively but his own eyes gleamed with anticipation, a rare sight that eased the tension between them ever so slightly. "Yeah, I'm sure. We used to talk about conquering this thing together every summer break," he reminded, nudging Izuku's side playfully.

Izuku couldn't suppress the fond smile tugging at the corner of his lips at the memory. They had come a long way since then, but some things never changed - like Katsuki's competitive streak and their shared love for adrenaline-fueled adventures.

Once buckled securely in their seats, Izuku's heart threatened to leap from his chest as the coaster ascended the steep incline. He squeezed his eyes shut tightly, heartbeat drumming in his ears like an impending battle cry. Beside him, Katsuki's hand found his own, calloused fingers intertwining with his in a comforting vice grip.

As gravity suddenly abandoned them, plummeting them downwards at breakneck speed, Izuku couldn't help the terrified yelp that escaped his lips, but it soon turned into a laughter-filled scream. The wind whipped through their drenched hair, rain pelting against their faces like cold, stinging kisses. With each gut-wrenching twist and turn, Katsuki's hold on his hand tightened, anchoring him to the present amidst the thrilling chaos.

Izuku's laughter blended with Katsuki's wild roars of excitement as they hurtled through loops and corkscrews, defying gravity with every exhilarating drop. Despite the fear clawing at his stomach, Izuku couldn't deny the thrill coursing through his veins, a potent cocktail of adrenaline and happiness. He stole fleeting glances at Katsuki during brief moments of respite, capturing the rare sight of pure joy painted across his usually stoic features. When the ride finally came to a halt, they were both breathless, hair disheveled like two drenched cats, but their eyes sparkled brighter than the Ferris wheel lights reflecting in the rain-soaked park.

"W-we survived," Izuku managed to choke out between gasps, face flushed with adrenaline and a renewed warmth towards his boyfriend

Katsuki scoffed, but his lips curved upwards in a satisfied smirk. "Told you we would," he gloated, still refusing to admit any hint of fear he may have felt.

As they stumbled off the ride, legs wobbly like jelly, Izuku's heart raced faster than the roller coaster ever could. Grabbing Katsuki's sleeve impulsively, he tugged him into a tight embrace, ignoring the confused glances from passing strangers. "Thank you," he whispered earnestly, burrowing into the familiar warmth of his boyfriend's rain-soaked hoodie, "I needed this."

For a moment, Katsuki tensed up, surprise etching itself on his wet features, but then he relaxed into the embrace, arms wrapping around Izuku's waist in return. "Idiot," he muttered fondly, "Thought you hated heights?"

Izuku smiled against his damp collar, contentment settling warmly in his chest. "I'd face any height with you," he replied softly, "as long as you're holding my hand at the end."
