You're so fucking beautiful,

Katsuki

...

Nuzzled comfortably against Katsuki's chest, Izuku felt some of the earlier tension seep out of his body like water from a damaged sponge. The warmth radiating from Katsuki's body, combined with the gentle rise and fall of his chest as he breathed, created a soothing rhythm that lulled him closer to peace. Their conversation had drifted from trivial topics to dreams about the future, something Izuku rarely initiated but found himself doing so now. "Do...do you think we'll still be together ten years from now?" He asked hesitantly, tracing patterns on Katsuki's bare arm with his index finger. In the dim lamp light, he saw the corner of Katsuki's lips twitch upwards.

"Of course, idiot," came the immediate response, Katsuki's tone a familiar mix of exasperation and fondness that made Izuku's heart flutter like pages of a favorite book being flipped through too quickly. "Who else would put up with your pathetic ass?"

He couldn't help but smile at that, burrowing closer into the warmth. *Even when he's trying to joke, he's serious.* It wasn't the first time Katsuki had reassured him about their future together, but hearing it now...it somehow meant more. Swallowing the lump forming in his throat, Izuku lifted his head to look directly at Katsuki. "Promise?" He whispered, eyes shining with vulnerability Katsuki rarely saw.

Katsuki's smile softened, eyes meeting his own with rare sincerity. He brushed aside a stray strand of green hair affectionately, thumb lingering on Izuku's forehead before he leaned in to press a soft kiss to his forehead. "Promise." The weight of that word settled between them, heavier than any lie detector quirk. Silence stretched out for a few comfortable seconds before Izuku broke it again, voice barely audible above their synchronized breathing. "Good." He murmured contentedly, nestling back down against Katsuki's chest.

Izuku remained silent for several heartbeats, contentment blooming in his chest like a budding flower watered by Katsuki's promise. His eyes drifted shut once more as he continued tracing patterns on Katsuki's arm absentmindedly, feeling each rise and dip of muscle beneath his fingertips. Maybe...maybe we can be happy like this forever. The thought was foreign yet comforting, like a warm blanket he never wanted to shed. "What...what do you want to do in ten years?" He ventured, curiosity overpowering his usual reserve.

"Mmph?" Katsuki hummed sleepily, eyes half-closed. "Anything stupidly heroic?"

A soft chuckle escaped Izuku's lips. "No, I mean...for us."

There was a pause, followed by Katsuki's fingers intertwining with his own, their entwined hands resting over his racing heart. "I...guess...I don't know," Katsuki admitted, voice raspy with fatigue and vulnerability. "I just..." Another pause, longer than the last. "I just want you to be happy, Deku."

Izuku swallowed hard, emotions swelling inside him like a dam close to bursting. Me too, Kacchan...me too. He squeezed Katsuki's hand gently, eyes misting up slightly. "I will be...if you're by my side." He whispered, the confession slipping out easier than he expected. Katsuki remained silent, but his grip tightened around Izuku's hand, answering far louder than any words ever could. They fell into a comfortable silence after that, their steady breathing synchronizing with each passing moment. Izuku knew they'd have to talk about whatever burdened Katsuki's heart eventually, but for now, this - being together, holding onto each other - was enough.
