I saw Dad and Uncle Sam racing towards the two helicarriers that had already taken off, leaving the last one grounded and waiting for me. My heart pounded as I sprinted toward the operational panel of the carrier, my focus sharp. But as I reached the deck entrance, I halted. Standing there, leading a group of about ten agents, was Agent Thompson.

I sighed, recognizing him instantly. "Agent Thompson. You're in this too?"

He laughed, a cold, mocking sound. "Why so surprised?"

I nodded, trying to keep my tone light despite the tension. "Yeah, because... I thought we were friends?"

He scoffed, the smirk never leaving his face. "Friends? What a joke. In Hydra, we're taught how to kill. Nothing else."

My eyes flicked down to my left leg, still stiff and aching. Could it hold up long enough for me to install the targeting blade? It had to. I sighed, knowing the weight of what was at stake. "Millions would die."

Thompson shook his head, his expression darkening. "Have a bigger goal, Roberts. Billions would survive. And I won't let you mess it up. You've already tried once."

I nodded, determination flaring up inside me. "Try stopping me then."

Two agents stepped forward, laughing at the challenge. The first one lunged with a knife, but I was quicker. I sidestepped, grabbing his wrist in a fluid motion, twisting it hard. The sound of bones cracking filled the air as I slammed him into the floor with a sickening crunch.

Without missing a beat, I launched into a backflip, my boot connecting squarely with the jaw of the second agent, sending him crashing to the ground. I spun low, sweeping the legs out from under three more agents who were sprinting toward me. They toppled like dominos.

I vaulted over the next one with a mid-air somersault, landing lightly on his shoulders. Using the momentum, I flipped him forward in a devastating takedown that left him sprawled out on the deck. The adrenaline pumped through me as I looked back at Thompson.

He nodded, seemingly unfazed by the sight of his men crumpled around me. "In Hydra, we're told not to underestimate your opponent."

The casualness of his tone made my blood boil, but I kept my focus. This wasn't over.

Thompson charged at me with dual knives, slashing wildly. His eyes burned with a deadly focus, but I was quicker, more fluid. I weaved and dodged each attack, feeling the adrenaline coursing through my veins. As he came at me again, I sprinted toward the wall, running up its surface before using it as a springboard to launch myself into a twisting kick. My foot connected with Thompson's jaw, and the force sent him crashing into two other agents who had been advancing.

I landed in a crouch, ready for the next wave. Four more agents rushed me, but I was already in motion. I threw rapid high kicks, each one finding its mark with precision, leaving the agents no time to react. They slammed into the nearby hatch of a jet, crumpling on impact.

An agent swung a baton at me from the side, but I ducked, rolling smoothly across the deck. I sprang up behind him, wrapping an arm around his neck and twisting sharply. His body went limp, and he crumbled to the floor.

A group of agents attempted to corner me, but I was too fast for them. I leaped into a front handspring, building momentum with each flip, before transitioning into a high-flying somersault. I crashed down on the nearest agent with both feet, the impact knocking him out cold. I sprang up, and with a flurry of punches and spinning kicks, I cleared the remaining agents in seconds.

As I caught my breath, one last agent came at me from behind. I could feel the rush of air as he approached, but I anticipated his move. Bending backward, I slipped through the narrow gap between his arms, twisting my body with cat-like reflexes. I flipped over his back and landed behind him, delivering a brutal elbow strike to his spine, followed by a quick jab to his kidney. The agent dropped instantly, his body collapsing in a heap.
