Jennie woke up with a scream, loud enough to wake up the whole neighborhood. It's been a while since Jennie had dreams, or more like nightmares from memories of the past. Still haunting her to this day.

As she calmed herself, she rethinks about all those terrible memories at once. Her heart almost jumping out of her chest. The memories were a bit blurry, perhaps it was because everything happened with her tears blurring her vision, but most likely she intentionally blocked those memories from her head. Preventing those fears to ever come upon in her head again. Thank goodness her sudden outburst wasn't enough to wake up Rosé beside her, sleeping soundly with drool coming out of her mouth as she snores.

She blinked slowly, adjusting to the sensitivity of her eyes after sleeping for so long. And as she sat there, she turned to her right, her gaze at the beauty next to her. Carefully, her fingers trailed from the softness of the delicate skin, feeling her warmth, all the way to gently move her hair away to get a better view.

The moon captured a great view of her wife, glowing against her skin through the window pane, creating such a delicate picture of her blonde hair and skin glowing in the night. Jennie could only stare just for a little longer. The cold air in the night made her shiver, cooling the sweat of beads from her skin. She sighed in relief the more she stared at her wife, leaning down to press a firm kiss on her forehead, removing the discomfort from her furrowed brows as she relaxed in her slumber. She believed that was her doing, her heart warmed at the thought.

She sat still on her side of the bed. Turning her head to stare at the wall instead, her mind clouded with too many thoughts. Afraid that it was too much to even go back to sleep.

The memories, those haunting memories. Jennie sometimes thinks to herself that maybe she was being too dramatic during that time in her life, even though she really was mad at the thought of Rosé never loving her. She doesn't know anymore, confusing herself even more.

As hectic as it sounds, Jennie knew she was being selfish to Rosé, and even to herself. She never had the right to be mad about her being in another relationship, especially when she dated Kai. She didn't earn the rights to. But how could she help it? Pain and frustration was all she felt at that very moment. She never liked to talk about all the guys she dated during her youth, avoiding that topic altogether. Using them to get rid of her true feelings was one of the stupid things she did, but what else could've she done?

She just wished she had done things differently. But it didn't matter any longer, not when everything she wanted was right there beside her.

Jennie turned her head back to Rosé, still sleeping comfortably. She was about to lay back down and cradle her into her arms, a sudden noise was coming from her phone on her nightstand.

It was her company.

Jennie almost throws her phone at the wall. What could possibly be going on that they decide to call her in the middle of the night. "Seriously," Jennie groaned. As she picked up the phone, it suddenly stops. Instead, a text pops up in front of her screen.

"Jennie. Please come by at the building as soon as you can. Preferably right now, it is urgent. Thank you."

Really? Urgent? At this time? She could only roll her eyes. It sounded suspicious, they wouldn't really call her this late at night, but she didn't feel like risking any chances of losing this new profound job she came to love.

Unwillingly, she carefully got out of bed, making sure her movements were subtle to not wake up Rosé. She tip-toed her way to her closet, not really wanting to dress formal at this time, deciding on one of Rosé's sweater, paired with her sweats that were a bit big on her was the perfect fit.
