Morning came and Lydia was already standing by the door, she saw the water falling down to the soil, the rain never stopped raining, the memories from her past kept coming back to her last night, she never slept and she wasn't sleepy,

She looked at the wet road by her house thinking of going to the rain, the splashing of water made such a sweet unique sound and no sound heavy wind, no bird was singing, the neighborhood was quiet. The only sound that you can hear was the rain.

She slowly moved unto the rain, water started falling unto her hair, Into her face, her hair lied nicely on her shoulders and her clothes were getting wet, she took a cover and placed it inside her bag to prevent the books from the rain before leaving the house.

Lydia faced the sky and gently closed her eyes, and for a moment she felt the little many drops of water on her face, she admired the water on her face she stayed like that for quite a while. She stood still, as her whole body got wet every inch of her body was wet and soaked.

She was still standing still no noise interrupting her the suddenly the rain stopped hitting her face. Lydia still stayed in the same position trying to adjust the atmosphere, she still heard the water hitting the road. She slowly fixed her head to its normal position without opening her eyes. She was trying to feel her surroundings using her body but it still felt the water on it to feel a different atmosphere.

After long seconds, she opened her eyes in slow motion.... and saw.. Zack. He was holding an umbrella and Lydia saw that his bag was getting wet from behind, and when she looked at hers it was covered by the umbrella. He was holding.

His hand was between them, it was between their bodies, it was between the tension in their eyes. "Answer the question I asked you" Lydia told Zack in a low voice, "que- question?" Zack asked not pronouncing the word correctly. "Zack," for the first time she called his name.

"Yes?" Zack responded.

"Are you stalking me?" Lydia asked.

Immediately Lydia said that Zack looked at her in deep confusion in his eyes, then looked at her robotised face, "Are you kidding me? Stalking you? I come here every morning I just happened to see someone who needed an umbrella instead of thanking me you claim im stalking you? Or maybe you're saying thank you?" Zack said with confusion in his eyes and annoyance.

"Help? Did it really look like I needed your help? Did it look like I needed yours?" Lydia said calmly without showing no emotion the she pushed Zack's hand away and left zack alone with his umbrella and walked to school.

Lydia came to school wet and water was still dripping from her face, hair and clothes. And the rain just got having and having along the way. She stood infront of the building. And looked at the school's name on top then entered the hall,

She didn't care how much water she left where she walked, her shoes were full of water and her clothes, she walked past each and every classroom and went upstairs to her class. She slightly opened the door and saw no teacher was inside the class.

Only students. Everyone turned around to see a girl wearing soaked clothes, a soaked black dress and a soaked white shirt, she looked at them as they looked at her.

She moved her eyes and saw Zack, he wasn't raising up his head he was fixed down to abook he was reading he didn't even want to bother looking up, Lydia felt no emotion about any of this that happened in the class.

"You okay?" Someone asked her but Lydia just ignored this person and moved to her desk. And sat down quietly. "Zack why aren't you helping her? You help everyone in class." A voice whispered but Lydia was able to hear it. " how does it involve me?" Lydia heard, Zack's response. But carried on with what she was doing. A girl came and gave Lydia a blanket but she refused it, so the others began to be hesitant to go to her.

Few minutes past and everyone started to erase the incident from their minds. Mr Glen came in class after minutes. Carrying a set of papers, he was smiling, everyone in class started to take their seats accept someone, who stood behind Lydia's chair, everyone looked behind and looked at Bella  who was standing firmly behind Lydia.

Lydia turned her head slowly and saw Bella, Bella then looked down at her, and smilled, Bella then leaned closer to Lydia from behind and gently took out the  black silk jacket Lydia was wearing from her shoulders and and raised it to take it off her.

For the first time Lydia let someone help her. And she allowed the jacket to come out her body, Bella then placed it on her chair for it to dry out, "you might hate human skin or not familiar to talking to to anyone, but if you need help we are always here for you." Bella said and walked to her seat.

Everyone watched in silence and some other people thought things will get better between Lydia,  but little did they know, Lydia wasn't even listening to a word, actually she agreed for Bella to help her because she asummed a weird connection in her thoughts.

She was lost in her thoughts, and was not in her right state. "Okay class today we are writing a controlled test, out of a hundred marks, it's the easiest subject, it's Life orientation everybody favorite subject."
Mr Glen said with a smile on his face.

He then started to distribute the papers, but it wasn't everyone's favorite subject, "all you need to know is feelings how people feel, advicing people in trouble, how to solved problems in a friend group, and how to advice people who are in love." Immediately when Mr Glen said that the class chattered,

And Lydia stared blankly in front, Zack didn't smile or chatter he looked unbothered by the word love, everyone was chattering about, "I'm expecting only A+ on this paper" Mr Glen added.

The papers was placed on Lydia's table and she read the front page, it requested for her first name and last name, but whrn she opened the inside of the paper the words started jumping.

"Are you sick?" She asked Lydia. "No" Lydia answered not looking in her direction, "then why aren't you writing?" She asked again. "That's my business" Lydia answered her. The girl then looked at her papers and smiled then looked at Lydia. "I also dont understand this, but self estem helps sometimes." She told her. "I don't the meaning of self estem" Lydia said, "it's not a crime to not know, writing this paper dosent mean you're worthless it means you are writing what you know failing dosent mean You've lost forever. One day you'll win if you get an F you'll soon get an A not just an A but an A+ I know you dont understand me or you are not listening but its the truth." She told Lydia, "this is our last year in middle school I actually enjoyed it, I don't know about you, but being your seatmate was actually different in a good way" she added and focused on her paper.

Lydia got off the bus with her jacket in her hand and walked straightly to the door of her house. And opened the door, and got inside and a sight caught her off guard, her mother was in the launge, kneeling down hands together, she was praying. Lydia watched in silence as she prayed.

"Years past and nothing in this world could cure her, she's born this way she will die this way but I would be delighted to feel my daughter's love even if it's for a day, God please find a way to cure her, so I can also feel completed and gather joy in my heart, make her find happiness and joy make her feel emotions. That's all I request. Amen"

When her mother was finished she opened her eyes to see. Lydia by the door. Lydia then walked pass her and went to her room.
