Evelyn

"Thankyou for dropping me off" I said as beck was ready to go back

"Always a pleasure"

I sat on the couch,still processing everything

Should I text him?would the company have his phone sealed?what if they see the texts...they don't know about us

My mind flooded with so many questions,I wanted to get past it...I turned on the TV just so I could distract myself from everything that's been going on,things were weird between me and yugyeom aswell but ofcourse that was none of our fault...it was just how it is when you're a kpop idol I guess,sometimes I just want to fucking run away from all this

I covered myself with a blanket,watching a crime thriller usually helps me get away from my thoughts...coz when you've a theory going on in your mind,you can't really think about other things but today no matter how much i tried,I couldn't...I just wished he was here for me but i understand that it's not his fault

I went to the kitchen to bring some snacks in,a cracking voice came from the living room,I slowly walked towards the room,the glass on the table was broken

"Agh you should be careful moon" I walked in the room

"Moon?" I called my cat again...but no sign of her was there

"I swear moon,stop playing" I bent to check under the couches

Another sound came from the other side of the living room

"Caught you" I smirked and ran towards her

"MOON" I yelled as I saw her laying there,blood all over her white furs,I bent down to pick her up,I noticed a red light pointing at us again

Fuck

I carried her and hid behind the couch

Fuck fuck no moon

Tears rolled town my eyes,falling on her body...moon was there with me from past ten years and it killed me to carry my baby in my arms,dead.

"Hello beck?" I said as the line connected

"I need you to send someone here,someone shot moon and they're still here....I guess" my voice was muffled,my heart felt heavy

I can't afford to loose you

The last birthday I celebrated with my parents,they gifted moon to me...right before their death.

"Eve?" I heard the knock on my door,I got up and ran to open it

I saw beck with few bodyguards,well more than a few

"Everything is clear outside,we caught the person who was shooting" one of them came to inform us

"Why would a crazy hater go that far?" I groaned,slowly sobbing

I and beck went downstairs,the car dropped us at the cemetery,we digged a burial for her,I got her cleaned up and slowly placed her down there,I took the necklace off her,it said "moon" and wore that myself,I took a little time admiring her for the last time,staying there still holding onto her, After a while beck tried to gather me up

"You had a big day eve,you should sleep" beck said as we reached back to the apartment,I slowly nodded and went upstairs in my room,
Closing the door behind me,I sat down,not being able to hold back,I finally broke down....I didn't even realise when I fell asleep.

"Eve?" I heard beck slowly shaking me to get up
"I need you to be in the meeting room"

I took a quick shower and went downstairs in the room,well there were new faces,alot of them and the CEO of our company

"Morning" I bowed to everyone,finally taking a seat I asked "What is this about"

"The investigation is still going on but we thought we should tighten up the security"

"Wait,what is the point of investigation exactly?"
I questioned

"Well it happens to be that the guy was sent here under someone,he wasn't just a crazy hater or anything,more than that is there"

"Why would somebody want me dead"

"A lot of people" the CEO said "And you're going to have a personal bodygaurd,who'll be around you 24/7"

I was about to speak but he cut me off again
"and it's not a choice"

"Christopher chan bahng,one of our best"

A tall curly haired guy came forward,the muscle in his body looked like they were ready to pop out anytime

"ma'am" he bowed,his voice was husky and deep

...with that voice and face,this guy has hell lot of potential to be in some kpop group

The lining of his abs was visible from the thin t-shirt he was wearing,he surely has the best  combination of perfect body and face

I snapped out of my thoughts as I realised I was staring at him for too long now,not really making a good impression here

"Okay then we will get going now" They all stood up,bowing down

"Take care of yourself Eve,call me if you need" beck pulled me in a hug

I closed the door,and turn towards chan

"My name is Evelyn,you can call me Eve"

"I think I should call you ma'am" he said with a straight face

I'd be lying if I said he wasn't intimidating...

"Okay...um the staff will come here soon so let them in I guess,I'll go get some sleep upstairs"

I walked up but I heard the footsteps following me

"Are you really going to follow me around"

"It's the orders" he said,standing straight,still not looking me into the eyes

I sighed and went inside,thankfully he didn't insist to come inside my room

I threw myself on the bed,I fell asleep quickly as I didn't get enough of it last night

"But we have been working here for four years" the loud voice from downstair woke me up
I walked downstairs,slowly rubbing my eyes

"What's going on in here?"

"I need to check them for security purpose ma'am" chan again took his typical bodygaurd position.

"You don't have to stand like that everytime you see me" I scoffed "and they all are trustworthy" I smiled at the staff

"But I still need to check,it's my duty"

"Isn't it your duty to listen to me"

"I'm afraid I'll have to avoid some of your orders here,for your own wellbeing"

As he said that in stern and deep voice,something triggered me to shut the fuck up and  listen to him...I didn't know why but i just couldn't help it

"Okay I guess..." my voice trailed off as I walked in the kitchen to pour myself some coffee

I was about to take a sip but chan intrupted me

"Are you sure that isn't poisoned"

"What" I said in disbelief

"Just in case"

"I just made it" I kept the mug down "and in case you think I'm some psycho killer who wants park Evelyn dead then yeah sure,go ahead and investigate me as well" I scoffed,I know I took it too far but lately things have been just messed up,I sighed as I realised I lashed out for no reason

"I'm sorry ma'am"

"And stop being this formal,I'm a very chill person" I slapped his arms playfully raising my eyebrows,but still that guy stood there without any smile on his face

I rolled my eyes as I made my way upstairs to my room

And him following me from behind
