Evelyn

A swift knock on the door woke me up,I stood up abruptly from my place,passing by the mirror just to see how much like a mess i looked

Twisting my wrist as I opened the door,chan stood there infront of me

"You've a meeting to attend"

I groaned in my head but nodded silently to him,still avoiding to make an eye contact so he doesn't notice how i looked.

Closing the door with my back,I stayed there in silence,looking at the ceiling blankly

A part of me wished to take a break from all this,and a part of me knew the company would lash out on me if I even mentioned something like this

They were already facing alot because of me..

Walking out of there,I opened the refrigerator to get some ice out,sticking the steel spoon in it to depuff my eyes

"Let's go" I took my bag and headed to the door

.

"There's this idols gathering coming up soon,I'm adding this to your schedule because it's important for you to make a public appearance, the fandom is already falling apart"

"You also have to make a comeback next month,so I hope you start preparing for that as well"

"Well that's it for the meeting,you can head out"

Chan and Evelyn got out of there as soon as the CEO told them to,getting back to the apartment

She pulled out a bottle of wine gulping it down directly from the bottle,stumbling over the couch she sank into it as she sat there

She's drunk,vulnerable,her lips are tinted pink

Chan,who's standing at the edge of the couch looked at her curled up body,her eyes still half open,she sat up abruptly,making chan concerned about her as he saw the corner of her eyes being glossy

"Why do they leave...always" she huffed

Chan was debating about what he should do,he looked at his watch to see that his shift was almost over and the other gaurd would come
Scanning the circumstances he decided to call him off the shift for today....leaving her alone in that situation wasn't the safest after what happened last time

"Do you want to talk?"

"You can? Isn't that against your rules" she raised her eyebrows at the end,letting out a soft but sarcastic chuckle

"Well technically speaking,I'm not on duty right now....my shift is over"

"Sit here" she patted the place beside her,chan hesitated but sat,maintaining a proper distance between them

"You know yugyeom?"

"He and I dated,or are dating? He never broke up though,but he's with someone else so I assume it's over" her voice quavered , her voice being slurred as she was drunk

"do I still love him or do I just love the idea of getting loved...that's what I can't differentiate in between, or do I want to prove him that I'm enough" she pouted,staring blankly at the wall infront of her while making gestures with her fingers as she spoke

"You're more enough than you think and if somebody can't see it,they're missing out on a perfectly kind and....pretty person" chan spoke up,his voice was sweet like honey,melting her heart as she heard those words

Her head turned towards chan,who was listening to her carefully,a wide smile appeared on her face as she moved her hands closer to him,he shifted back a little,but she pulled him with the collar to cup his cheeks

"You're cute" her voice squeaked

"And you're drunk as fuck" he removed her hands gently from his face,laying her down as he pinned her hands on the couch unintentionally,making her giggle...chan was looking on the side to collect pillows so she doesn't hurt herself if she falls,while she looked up at the guy who was hovered over her

"That was hot" she whispered in husky voice

Chan's face flushed red trying to hide it he got away from her and laid the pillows on the ground,her gaze on him making him a little conscious as he could feel her still staring..

He moved up and placed his hands on her eyes
"Stop staring"

"I know you're blushing"

"That's bullshit" chan scoffed "Just sleep" chan went away but came back with a blanket

"You're blushing" she teased him again

Chan furrowed his eyebrows and threw the blanket over her,while he stood there folding his arms infront of his chest

She pulled the blanket down,her hairs were all messed up,strands of it falling all over her face

She smiled giddily at him,chan couldn't help but smile at how cute she looked sitting there,her face was rose pink,her cheeks uplifted as she smiled

His thoughts reminded him to get a hold on himself,a sigh left his lips as he sat there beside her

Tucking her hairs all back,while she stared deep into his eyes...her eyes were sparkling but soon they blinked like she was about to sleep

He gently placed his hands on her head,laying her down,caressing her hairs a little until she drifted into sleep

Chan stayed there,a lopsided smile placed on his face putting his dimples on display, as he admired her

What's happening to me

He looked at her in admiration,his dilated pupils trailing all over her face

Chan's face was more red than her by now,without even having a single drink

He groaned with an unusual smile as he sat back,resting his body on the coffee table in front of the couch,his body forcing down the pillows as he shifted in more comfortable position

He hugged his knee,his eyes still on her sleeping figure
For a moment,everything fell into silence
only the pounding of hearts can be heard,he remained unmoved in that position,it's hard to read his expression..but he felt peace,the state of tranquility fading the echoes of voice and worries roaming in his head...
