Terrorizing (Switch Up AU)

Note: What if Dream and Nightmare took Grian's place in YHS? How would their siblings react, and of course, I shall terrorize the twin admins, not Ex and Xisuma, those two aren't mentioned, I mean Dream Clay Wastaken and Nightmare Nolan Wastaken.

"Little Dream Wastaken has an interesting story to tell of how he died, go on," The ghostly news reporter told his camera.

"It all began when I was 8," the 14 year old chuckled and a tear fell down his pale face.

"My twin brother, Nightmare, and I had made two new friends, they were quick to become our best friends."

Footsteps were heard and faces turned to see a red version of Dream.

"Nightmare!" Dream exclaimed his face immediately lighting up.

"Hello Day, mind if I describe them real quick?" Nightmare asked his twin, taking a seat beside Dream on the royal red sofa.

"Not at all," Dream replied, leaning onto his twin.

"The first was Techno, full name Technoblade, but most commonly known as The Blade," Nightmare sighed at the name.

The news reporter's facial expression became that belonging to surprise.

"He was a Piglin hybrid, he had pink hair, one icy blue eye, one blood red eye, and only ever seemed to have many copies of the same outfit, a white button up, black dress pants, and a royal red cloak, and he always wore a golden crown with sapphire stones," Nightmare smiled fondly at the image before continuing, "Then their was Michael-"

Soft snores interrupted Nightmare.

Nightmare glances down to see his ghost twin snuggled up against him sleeping peacefully, Nightmare chuckled at this.

"I'll continue, Michael Afton, he might've even been closer to Dream then I was, and the two of us have been inseparable throughout most of our existences," Nightmare told the news reporter wraith.

"Michael had black hair and a blue eye, the other eye was always covered by an eye patch and he adored the color purple like his father. The four of us would do our homework together, have sleep overs, hang out, walk and even fall asleep leaning one each other when studying, their were times when some weren't taking care of themselves enough that we had to form a puppy pile on top of the others, most the time it was Techno or Dream that caused our puppy piles to be needed," Nightmare seemed to have been reliving the memories.

Nightmare looked down into his lap with a sorrowful look.

"When we were both 11, something happened, we grew suspicious and afraid when we hadn't seen our two best friends for an entire 24 hours, we soon broke after finding out they went missing, their bodies were never found," Nightmare's tone was a gloomy one.

A yawn came from beside Nightmare, signalling that Dream was awake, Nightmare continued.

"Dream and I wouldn't leave our shared bedroom for an entire month after we found out, we felt-"

"Incomplete," Dream finished for his twin.

"On our 12th birthday, our father forcefully sent the two of us to Japan without any knowledge of the language and we only have one another, I still remember the card," Dream sighed.

"The card..." Nightmare agreed.

"If I may ask, what was in the card?" The reporter asked.

"Our eldest sibling, XD or Xavier, had only then found out that we were shipped to Japan, the letter read;

Dear MidNight and DayDream,

I cannot believe that you two could actually be alive, our siblings were devasted when father had to us you two had gone missing and were believed to have been dead.

Tubbo hadn't eaten for a week until we finally forced food into his mouth, Lucid, Dialogue, Sight, and Overthought would all go to the library for hours at a time to get away from the drama, there were times we believed they had also gone missing.

Vile and Drista both only came out fo the bedroom they shared with Lucid and Tubbo so they could eat or go to school.

And Vivid, oh Vivid, you won't believe it, we all almost had a break down. Sight found him hung in their bedroom, Sight came just in the nick of time, Doctors claim that he would've died if she had come any later...

Overthought and I had cried when we found the receipt for the plane ticket, we found out you two were alive, Mom hadn't even known.

I Thought and I just turned 16 the other day, we are planning to take a plane with the others as soon as we turn 18, we can't wait to see you!

-Xavier," Dream hid his face as he spoke the exact words from the letter, his voice was muffled but it was clear enough for every word to be understood.

"Did they see you?" The reporter asked.

This time Nightmare turned away before replying, "We have found out that they will come in two days, they already have keys to the apartments, and we- our bodies are still there, it is our second day dead.."

"We are dead because of my stupidity, I trusted someone to quickly," Dream admits.

Nightmare gave his older twin a glare that reads 'Take that back, it is his fault not yours.'

Dream just shook his head in response to the glare.

"I warmed up to Sam and Taurtis quickly, oh how wrong I was, on your 14th birthday, two days ago, was when it happened.."

"I hadn't trusted Sam, although I knew Taurtis was trustworthy, especially when I saw how well he treated his boyfriend, Grian, and I understood that with Dream's extreme will to help people. I don't blame him," Nightmare says.

"It was at the end of the party... Everyone except Sam and us had left... He gave us a present each with the most welcoming smile, we opened it...." Dream trailed off, sobs breaking through his voice instead.

"What was in it?" The news reporter asked.

"Mine held the eye patch that Mike's father made Mike, covered in blood, and Dream's... Dream's box held Techno's head.... We died soon within the hour," Nightmare's voice was filled with terror.
