"So, Apollo, you say one of your priestesses is dead?" Zeus said, stroking his beard. "You would think that they would know that that would offend you."

"I know." Apollo replied. "Perhaps they had a grudge against the priestess and did not think about me."

"Perhaps."

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Apollo and Zeus started, turning to look at the door. "I am a mere mortal, but I can help! Let me in!" yelled a voice from the other side. Apollo walked over, grabbed onto the handle, and pulled.

Apollo began to curse. "It's stuck, Zeus. Could I have some help, please?" Zeus came over and pulled with Apollo, but the door didn't budge. Apollo looked at the hinges and cursed again. "We have to push." Apollo pushed, and, sure enough, the door swung open. A girl of about 19 stepped in.

"Amy!" Apollo cried. "I was hoping it was you!" Her entire face lit up at the recognition.

"Yep, it's me." she replied. She shook her curly black hair out of her bright green eyes. "I thought that I could investigate, as I am close to many of your oracles, Apollo. I will only investigate, however, with your permission." She looked at Zeus. "Yours, too. You are, after all, king of the gods."

Apollo smiled. "Of course I give you permission, Amy. Zeus?"

"All right. Try not to kill anyone or get killed in the process, please."

Amy grinned happily. "I will get going, then. I have some investigating to do."

"Oh, wait!" Apollo said. "Take this. It is protection against getting killed or injured." He handed Amy a charm shaped like a lyre. "Wear this nonstop for two days, and the protection will be permanent. You will have a green lyre shape on your left shoulder when the protection is permanent. Once that happens, the charm will dissolve."

"Thank you, Apollo!" Amy replied, tying the charm around her neck. "Good bye, everyone!" She skipped out of the throne room, closing the doors behind her.
