In the infinity of the universe
I came looking for you
for a brief moment, I found you
I reached out a hand in the shadows
just a spark
only a spark
there's no voice in the void of the cosmos
this space is an empty place
and clouds on Earth our only consolation
stars we can see shining
in the distance
they don't look so good so close
they will burn you
I loved you, I love you
I whispered to their ears
so that no one could ear my exhaled confession
so foolish
but it's such a miracle
in this empty universe
always expanding towards nothingness
I found you
just you, my only star
I caught you in my hand and held you dear to my heart
there was undeniable warmth
in this crooked love of mine.
I found you, I found you
in the void, I just found you
I dreamt of you before dawn, in the clearest.
Walking through the city I stopped, and I
turned my head for a coming star
So you were falling down to this Earth
but I, I'm just
a simple creature
I waited for you all my life
and then suddenly
in this cold universe, in this hateful place
you were there, in my heart
Like the stars, the Pleiades
always shining together
that was my stupid dream
to be part of your light
but we are no twin stars
I touched your hand, and you turned away
do you barely see me?
Do I exist, for you, or am I
just a distant star, in a crowded cosmos?
Do I burn your eyes,
are you afraid to die
in my black hole?
But it's a dream, it's just a dream
a wish upon a faraway light
with so much desire upon her
she can't possibily grant it all
In the void, I float
speechless and hopeless and lost, forever
there's a dream I remember, my star
your smile carved in my heartless heart
in my heart of hearts, that's all I kept
and it's burning
look at me from down there
and smile
I will grant your every wish
my baby
and maybe
did you realize,
all those lights
are just memories
in the void,
through the dark,
from my heart,
I love you
