Mr. Nameless walks me back to the same room that I came from.
"Here's a tip lady, try not to pay attention to your surroundings much. Just go with the flow."

Go with the flow.

The flow.

What was the flow?
Was it letting others break your already broken trust? Or was it letting someone dump your face in the garbage bin just because she dropped her food? Oh maybe it's getting burnt - in it's literal meaning - just because she used to be your bestfriend?

We were inseperable.
Mr. Nameless "escorts" me to my room. Which basically means that I have walk for another 10 minutes.
"Don't you have other people to watch over?" I ask, annoyed by the silence while walking.
"I was assigned a duty." He replies.
"What duty?"
"Taking care of you."
"By whom?"
"It's time for you to go to bed." He says.

Right. I didn't know the time or the date.
"What's the time now?" I ask.
"It's time for you to go to bed." He repeats.
"I heard you the first time. I asked the time." I say
"It's time for you to-"
"STOP." I scream out.
"We've reach your room. Ma'am." He said mockingly.
He opens the door for me. Gentleman. The light from the corridor helps me to finally see what's inside my room. By the time he figures out what I was doing, I quickly scan the room.
There's a mattress on the floor. There's a chair at a random spot and something surrounding the chair, can't really figure out what and of course, the bed that I was tied on. Memories. And then there were spots. Spots. Blobs. Puddles.

Blood.

There was blood everywhere. Some areas still looked wet while the others had dried What exactly happens here.
Suddenly I here a loud thud and darkness takes over.

"You should sleep now."
I nod.

I stand there, waiting for him to leave. I see no light coming in. I hear no sound of a door creaking open like it would break any second. Trust me. I'm pretty sure the door's still standing strong, even after the "Event of 2017".

"Oh I'm sleeping here too". He says, snapping me awake from my thoughts.

"I might be the only guy you've slept with". He adds, teasingly. I mean....true.

"So like where are you sleeping? Where am I sleeping?" I ask, kinda nervously.
"There's a mattr-"
I hear a loud thud just as he tries to finish the word. The lights suddenly turn on. My eyes were burning. Everything's white. And it was blood.
Shit.

Mr. Nameless Guy was on the ground.
He was near the door, about a metre away from where I was standing. There was no blood. He just, was on the ground. I take short hesitant steps towards him.
Should I just run away right now? Considering the fact that he was "alloted" to me, maybe the others also have their own guard-person.

It wouldn't really matter right?
I'll just open the door and get out.
Something in me goes crazy.
I have this weird feeling.
I have to help him. I need to help him.
I find myself kneeling down to wake him up. I first check his pulse.

I mean, I was just a high school freshman, the only thing I know is where the pulse is.
There is no pulse.
Oh wait. His suit. Stupid.

Water won't work because he has this very VERY hard suit on. Next option, Jerk him till he's awake. I take his hand, I can't feel anything, the suit's warm, I guess?

I try removing his mask. Didn't work. It was attached to the rest of the suit. I try jerking him again.
"It hurts, stop."
He's awake. Finally.
"Dumbass. You didn't even tell me your name, how on earth am I supposed to take you to the hospital if you die."
He chuckles.
"Good job Ms. One one four four." A voice says. The entire aura in the room changes. Nameless Guy suddenly fixes his posture.

"Sorry sir."

"What was that?" I ask.

"You should go to bed now."

God. Not this shit again. I finally cave in. The lights go off again. What else was I supposed to do? I map out the room in my mind, watching each step carefully, finally feeling a soft cushion, I slowly kneel and lay down.
I say nothing for a while. The silence was just too loud for me to bear. Was he even there? Did he leave? No. If he'd left I would know. The door would screech. I decided to take the risk.

"You know, you didn't thank me yet." I say.

"For what?"

"For saving your life. Duh."

No reply.
After a few minutes, he speaks, very carefully chosen words.

"You have no idea what you've done to me." He finally says.
"I'm a minor." I blurt out, with my face slightly heating up.
He scoffs.

"I'd rather die than live as a person saved by you." He says.

Words, tearing my soul apart, I feel every piece of trust that I had unknowingly developed, being crushed into nothing but shards of glass.

Even though he was nothing but a mere stranger to me. Even though people have said worse to me. Wasn't this place an escape for me? Wasn't he the only person who knew everything about me but still had to faithfully serve me, as per the orders? Wasn't that the case?

Wasn't it?
I say nothing, for a very long time.
We end up spending the entire night in complete silence.

I slowly opened my eyes, a ray of sun shine hitting me, torturing me, reminding me that I have to go to school, prepare for the same routine as the previous day.

And as always, there she was. Smiling at me, always remorse in her twinkling eyes. She feels guilty about something.

"My baby." She whispers, I start taking tiny steps, the closer I try to get to her, the farther she seemed to get. It always happens. She was always scared.
Scared that something might happen to me. Scared that something might happen to us.

You know, after a while, you get used to it. Used to everyone seeing you as an outcast. Used to sitting alone in the cafeteria with no one to disrupt your thoughts.

Maybe, it was for the best.

Maybe, everything that happened, was a chance for me to start getting creative.

Start to rethink my choices.

Start to regain my ability to endure it all.

When was the start? When is the end?
